hi guys., i just dropped my phone from my waist to the floor... the screen bottom left hand side has cracked... just slightly cracked. the screen is black now and i can;t access it at all. receiving calls and sms have no problem. how much does warranty charge for my case? and how long will it need to be fully repaired? Will my phone look nice as before?

no warranty for own negligence. New screen cost rm 600+ go repair it at service center, if got stock few days.. Tell them you need it ASAP, because you will fly to overseas or something.. Cock your own story up lol Your phone will look nicer than before. because it's a new screen duh.. Happy New Year!

The lines at the 4 corners are not hairline cracks. They're the manufacturing joints. Everyone's S3 also have that.. Dont worry.

You charge with charger or using pc/laptop? If pc/laptop, of course. Cause the charging is not as strong as using the wall charger..

happy new year dude. although that 'happy' i guess can't apply to you here. sorry to hear that. you didn't use any casing? screen is not covered under warranty. you can read it, it stated there that it doesn't cover cosmetic damages.  so it gonna cost you around 500 to 600+. It can reach 700 if you're unlucky. Better send to samsung center if you wanna retain your warranty. but gonna take longer time. fast is 3 days. long would be 7 days. can be longer than that as well, if you're unlucky, depend on stock parts availability.

i just sent mine last friday. also cracked screen, but the touchscreen can still function 100%. still waiting for it to finish. mine costs around 520. hopefully in this week can get it back.

i'd say thanks to my protective casing. yep cheapo that i got free from buying the phone. but still it protects pretty well, considering the fact that my phone fell from the bike, chest high, while travelling at 30km/h. dropped on my peha first, the straight to tarmac.

after this when you repaired your phone, better get a protective casing. i'm saving money for kraken ams right now. got one supplier here in lyn with awesome price.

If Damage by user (not manufacturer defects) then after repair, the warranty original warranty will void, they will give you 1 month warranty only.

brought my s3 to SC, charged rm579 for screen replacement

mine is 525. but still didn't claim cuz have no money. thought can pay using credit card. have to wait till salary this month

probably because color. mine is grey. got one forumer here in v24 told me that other color than white and blue is cheaper. my phone already done repair. but cannot claim cuz don't have money.

samsung call centre staff kept telling me fake information that can pay using credit card.

yeah, they mention white>blue>other color

unless u claim for warranty on the back cover like I did (due to yellowish) yeah they wouldn't change it for u

higher version means newer and more stable lor... you can request for change if you MOBO is dead..
