Definitely.

Krait vs A9... Krait won

Adreno320 vs Mali400... Adreno won

However, being a Google project, you can expect that you need to download additional apps for video codec whereas S3 will support them natively. There is no option for external sd. Lastly, screen resolution will be outdated soon.

Nova launcher is actually very nice. I purchased it while Google having 25cents promo. Now I have stop using it though. TW Launcher has improved so much that you dont need 3rd party launcher. Alphabetical order is nice when you get used to it but I prefer TW now as it has calendar widget.
