QUOTE(OrCaGaL @ Jan 13 2013, 10:06 PM) tried d. simcrd workin on other phone n another simcard also workin on my phone...... pening kepala though. That being the case and since you had your SIM card cut, perhaps you can go to your telco and get a totally new Micro SIM as your current card's problem could be due to some fault caused by uneven cuts. |

QUOTE(soupdragon @ Jan 14 2013, 09:42 AM) Haven't bought one yet was looking at this webpage. IMO, if it is RM700 you are going to save then versus the so-called mentioned risk, it might just be worth it. Who knows, no 'harm' may befall on your unit at all. You can get an AP unit and 2 known places are SatuGadgetDotCom and DirectD. One is in Pudu, KL albeit a bit further down. The other is in Subang, PJ (if I am not mistaken).Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300-16gb Brand New Set 24 Months Warranty FOC Pouc.. Are they a reliable retailer, seen their name on here quite a bit. Let me explain. I want to buy an S3 in KL as they are cheaper than Thailand. It will not be easy for me to get back to Malaysia to make a warranty claim therefore I am thinking of an AP unit and the money I save, 700RM, could be used to make any repairs if I am unlucky enough to need to. So really I am gambling that any repairs needed will not cost more than 700RM and forgetting about any warranty. Now if the phone suffers sudden death then I am screwed so I am looking to minimise this risk if possible. From what I have read no 32GB S3 has suffered sudden death so that would seem to be the best AP option. BTW the 32GB unit isn't even available in Thailand. However, do check thoroughly when you do the purchase since you are not going to be here for long. Good luck. |

If you want to increase your post count, please make some effort to say something smart rather than your usual idiotic remarks. |

QUOTE(soupdragon @ Jan 15 2013, 04:20 PM) I would still buy a 16GB AP but I have read a lot about SDS that is affecting the 16GB units and it seemed the best way to avoid a future problem would be to buy a 32GB unit which are not affected. You have already been given the code to check the HW version. So, why don't you check it when you are at the shop.I am now thinking get a 16BG or a 32GB unit from a retailer with a high turnover and try to get a guarantee that the units he is selling have the updated motherboard in them. Ask them to open up the box and let you check the unit. Most shops anyway would have opened the boxes to check if the units are in working order when they get their stock from the suppliers. |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jan 16 2013, 11:24 PM) turn off auto sync lah. log off ur google, google +, fb, instagram, dropbox & other. clear cache for ur browser. better hard reset sure smoother than ur current status. There you go again, shooting off your nonsensical mouth. It is stated that her auto sync is off. And you can suggest to her the drastic hard reset?! Since when can factory reseting the phone help in giving a better battery life? Why do you continuously make a fool of yourself? Don't you read what forummers are posting before jumping in with your idiotic remarks? What irks me is the fact that you are misleading newbies who are here for help and you are giving senior members here a bad name with your off-tangent and ridiculous comments (I won't even call them advice)! |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jan 17 2013, 10:34 AM) I suppose being a jerk is perpetual. And the likes of you just escalate in stupidity without any remorse in sight. For starters, comprehension of the language we partake in is already beyond you and coupled with the fact that you speak through your nose; and since there is really no comparison of moronic being around here with you, I therefore should not get peeved but perhaps sympathize with your loneliness. Here he asked whether the S3 is better or the Note2 and true to your idiotic form, you answered S2. What a waste of life being on this earth? I really feel sorry for you. |

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jan 17 2013, 12:35 AM) just a forum only. dun achi aso lah. hard reset does improve battery cos everything b to defaults. she stated off for sync doesn't mean she r fully turn off all other accounts for sync. dude~ y u so care? r u her husband after all? So when anyone has any problem, tell them just do a factory reset and all will be solved, going by your rationale? If anyone out there agrees with him, I will just bow away. And when you off sync, NOTHING will sync and people off that to conserve battery life. So what the hell are you trying to salvage by yet again making a stupid statement? Oh, for the life of me......Geez! |

QUOTE(ianthensome @ Jan 19 2013, 06:02 PM) Is there anyway I can know if my phone is at risk of the sudden death issue? I know it's just a small percentage but is there like a way to know like check in the "about phone" for specifics or something. Thanks! You know why they call it sudden death??? Because it dies suddenly (abruptly, if you will) without prior notice. Therefore, nobody knows when it will happen, if it happens. |

QUOTE(ianthensome @ Jan 19 2013, 11:18 PM) Of course I know what "sudden" means. It's just that if there's a way to know if you are at risk, then the more wary I should be. I am always out of the country and the warranty is not international, so there. Anyone with an education will know what sudden means. But we are talking about SUDDEN DEATH. And it simply means it will die all of a sudden without warning, without notice. Meaning there's no symptom. There's no way to tell whether your unit or anyone else's will be next to keel over. Comprehend now? This post has been edited by PeeEl: Jan 20 2013, 12:02 AM |
