then the fella should not say ppl wasting money to get the LTE version bcoz msia dun have 4G
*
however what that fella said is true what. Until the day you subscribe to LTE, you're paying a higher price for an extra gb of ram with no other extra functionality other than that. So I guess you better go subscribe to LTE then you can tell that fella back.

got two s3 here... one white n one grey, both bought on the same day, a month ago.

so.. as the grey one, which i use it myself, hv no problem and really satisfy with it.. 1st day buy, straight away update to 4.1.1 and root it.. now 4.1.2 uk vodafone + stock kernel + cwm recovery and still running fine. its hw ver 1.1 ..charging time about 3hrs from 0% ... and usage about almost 1 day ..average 2 hrs screen and some long call..most of the time just whatsapp and sms... take some picture ..

but the white one, never touch or do anything that may void the warranty, the 1st day got, straight update to 4.1.1 malaysia.. start last week after the phone suddenly dead, n nothing can be done, i thought it already dead like everybody else who hv this, but try to pull out the battery, and put it back, still can on. but never the same again... charging rate (use original charger, wall socket) last night, from 12 am till this morning 8am... just increase to 20% (from 2% left battery) ... if use phone while charge, the battery drop. and one more thing , when use the lowest brightness (no auto) at night, can see some tompok2 on the screen (on the black screen or black wallpaper or in setting's background) .. lagi jelas kalau pakai screen filter and set it to 30%

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...com.haxor&hl=en

but if switch on the room light or set to highest brightness, cannot see that tompok2...

so...should i just send for a warranty, or is it anything can be done first?
*
Before you send in the white one. The charging one can be due to charger or usb cable also.. Try other chargers/usb cable if you have spare to make sure it's not the charger's fault. and try to do a factory reset and see if the problem still occurs.. If still occurs, then off to the sc it goes..

As for the tompok2, all S3s have that. When go in a dark room with little to no light, then on a black screen or what can start to see the spots.. It's because of AMOLED screen. I dont know why, nobody seems to really know why amoled screen like that :\

tell the fella later also he need to waste money to change to LTE device. So he current device no value ord
*
Damn, so you're saying all the S3s have no value already, including mine? How shocking! doh.gif
Just because one telco launched uncompleted LTE, suddenly all the non-LTE device no value. Does that mean Apple's iPhone 5 also straight no value since they can't use Malaysia's LTE? doh.gif

The more I talk to you, the funnier it gets. and then you go edit your posts all.
Funny guy.. sweat.gif

You're contradicting yourself bro. First you said not everyone uses Maxis(so can't change to LTE) then now you're saying those who owns a non-LTE device have no more value for their device.
I think if a person is under digi/celcom/umobile/tune and those still under Maxis contracts their S3 still has a value.

EDIT: Aiyor, you edit your post again ka? Why la? Some more straight away completely remove your post and change it to another thing.

God, i love you. Because I don't have to point out why you're stupid. You just helped me by showing your stupidity yourself.
Are you going to edit your post again after I replied you? doh.gif

I said Apple's iPhone 5 does not support Malaysia's LTE. and it is true(go read it up, so that you don't look dumb). No where in that statement that I said Apple's iPhone 5 have no LTE. Goddammit, you really need a book.

thanks so much..  the grey s3 ..average use screen 2hrs for every charge....the white s3...average use screen 4hrs per charge...  the grey s3 still no tompok2... and in before .. i use s1 and s2 ,,,never see that tompok... just curios..

thanks so much for ur suggestion  smile.gif  notworthy.gif    thumbup.gif

Hmm, you try go in a dark room or at night you test and see. My friend's grey s3 also got tompok. But then these spots are random, some people's S3 have a lot of it, some people have very little and maybe some likes yours too, got no spots.. But I don't think those spots itself affect anything on the display. But I also curious why got these spots.. lol.

since we taking LTE .. they are two frequency in malaysia.. 1.8 Ghz and 2.6 Ghz. and only start opreating yesterday (cos PTO is start 1/1/13).... so when get LTE Phone make sure can operate that 2 frequency so do our S3 LTE can run on on of the frequency ?
*
I think there's only one frequency in Malaysia. and it is 2.6Ghz. That's why iphone 5 cannot use malaysia's lte cause theirs is 1.8Ghz.

and yes, S3 LTE(international version) can run on 2.6Ghz frequency.. thumbup.gif

If wanna buy LTE phone, just make sure the phone supports 2.6Ghz band. Cause at the moment, that's the only band that MCMC release out the license.

Same here. Wait for the LTE to be stable. Read reviews about it then only get LTE phone, so that I enjoy it fully and not halfway got LTE halfway no LTE.

Agree. Each operator have 1 channel of 20Mhz is allocated. In technical perspective there gonna be a lot of interference if the operator using 1 channel only.

Let other operators deploy LTE and we wait for the price war and benefit from it..  brows.gif

Totally agree. Cheers on being smart consumers then thumbup.gif

Ahh, I see. It is not confirmed. So have to wait for MCMC to release out the license.. Until then, only 2.6Ghz is supported in Malaysia smile.gif

Samsung acknowledges Galaxy S III sudden death, fix is on the way

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_admits_to_...y-news-5278.php

sighhh.....great phone still facing problem...= fail?
*
Tell me a phone after launched does not face a problem?

And it's only a small problem. Because not the majority of S3 owners are facing this problem. So why is it a fail?

and furthermore, you're getting a brand new mobo if that ever happens to you. Which part of that is a fail? I'd love to get my mobo dead and get a brand new mobo. That's totally like a win. If you scared to lose your data and stuff? Back them up. Simple.

so , are u saying , ur brand new car about 5months , engine kong , as long as service centre replace a new engine , ur happy as well ? gosh , wat kind of mentality ?  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
*
If you've been using your car for 5 months, and you get a brand new engine. Why the hell in the world would you complain? It's like getting a brand new car again. They're giving you a brand new heart to the car/phone. If you don't count the inconvenience of having to go car-less while they replace you with a new engine that is. Same thing for the phone.

Of course we would talk about why the engine would go kong after 5 months or whatever about the quality control of it, but since now they're giving you a new engine and the issue is being resolved (in this case, Samsung is updating it with a patch) So you dont have to worry about it going 'kong' again in 5 months..

Maybe not all of you would like it. But for the S3's matter, I wouldn't mind getting a brand new mobo.

how do u know the mobo is new ?  icon_idea.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

same like how do u know the engine given is brand new ? LOL
*
because people's mobo who died their HW rev is 1.100. After getting it back some got 1.400 and 1.500. Meaning its an entirely new motherboard.

If Samsung can repair the mobo you think they will replace it?? It's because they cant repair it thats why they have to replace it with a new one.

It's called a dead motherboard for a reason. Because it's dead.

nexus 4 faster than S3?
*
In what terms? But generally, of course it will be, it's a newer phone with better hardware components. and it's pure android too. Means no bloatwares and additional features like you get on the S3 like smart stay, etc etc..

It's like a Ferrari 458 Italia is faster than a Ferrari F430. But both are super cars in their own respect. and both are very fast too.
