QUOTE(eimanX @ Jan 15 2013, 10:53 AM) Hi guys...I'm new here but I've been using S3 almost 4 months.. are u on Maxis?I'm having dis trouble but I'm not sure whether its because of of my phone or because of telco provider.. My problem is I can't make/recieves calls in GSM/WCDMA Auto mode. If I'm lucky enough, my calls got thru for only a few seconds. Then..it will hang up automatically and call ended. If someone calles me, that call surely won't go through at all. A few minutes later, MAXIS sent 1 SMS to notify me that a had a missed call. After a few experiments, I noticed that if I change the mode to GSM only....The calls will be like normal. so, the problems are WCDMA/ 3G network. But I dont want to set it to GSM mode all the time coz I'm using data plan. 1 more..Internet sometimes are very slow even H+... I read some forums outside Malaysia..and some of s3 users experiencing this problems..is it because of the recent JB update? Anyone else experiencing this?Or am I the only one in Malaysia who are having this problems? =) and back to the main question.. Is it because of my device or Telco? I've tried hard reset, change sim card but still no use. I'm running on JB n not rooted...Oh, I live in KL.. Thanks in advance guys.. |

Guys, does S3 support usb on-the-go function? Saw someone selling the cable somewhere but not sure whether it's legit or not.
I'm going crazy browsing for accessories for my S3, feels like buying everything. Power casing, hdmi cable...sigh if only I have the budget for all that. Any other accessories I should look for? |

i think my internal sd card is faulty. yesterday i notice that the battery usage for "sdcard" is freaking high and sometimes when i turn on the screen, i can see that it is "preparing for sd card...".
so i did a factory reset and formatted the internal sd card. after that the "sdcard" battery usage is no longer there, however, sometimes when i unlock my phone, i still can see the "preparing for sd card..." notification. it only appears for a short few seconds. i am sure it is not the external sd card which causes the problem becoz yesterday before i did the factory reset, i unmount my external sd. and the battery usage for "sdcard" still keep increasing. another hardware problem? aih... |

i traced the laggy prob for my gallery due to the mem card
it has about 0.5gb free space left, must have been badly fragmented so i'm trying to get a new mem card later today my question: can i just copy and transfer all my contents from my old card to the new card, and all the apps will still work? lots of important apps inside the card, and tons of random work photos plus, how big a card size the phone can take? 32gb class 10? |

Photos and videos on sd card (both internal and external) are scanned by the stock Media Scanner, that could be one reason for the battery usage. i). Either create .nomedia files for folders you don't want to scan. (Scanned folders with photos will appear in Gallery and Videos Player will have video thumbnails). It will always run once in a while when you have new files loaded on to the sd card. ii) If rooted, then you can try to download Media Scanner apps from Google Play to control the media scanner process. |
