hi all sifus, i'm currently using a Phillips CEM210 head unit, just wanna ask if it's worth to change to a KENWOOD KDC U453? are there any big differences between these 2 head units? if no then what do you guys recommend? my budget can't be more than rm 500..thanks all...

Friend, I had joined this forum and surveyed a few seller. To my surprise, ninety percent of sellers here are selling overseas unit. I think it's better to buy from shop. More reliable and we can go back to the shop if we need their help. Got a seller offer only one year warranty for alpine product but I buy from shop they give 2 years warranty and free install into my sister car. Looks like it's better to buy from shop for people who know nothing like me. The different in price is only RM140 higher for my player but I feel safe and the shop treat me very nice too.

So far I have bought the whole ice set in my car from 3 different sellers in Lyn.
They are able to prove to me its local warranted.

Not to say its safe to buy in Lyn, there are some that are clearly selling fakes. Just deal with reputable sellers to be safe.

Btw TS, I m not a so called audiophile guy.
I bought the nakamichi coz the input/output sockets are identical to the stock in persona. It has 2 sets of rca out plus one more for mono sub. The rca out is 5 volts btw, only requires a low gain when tuning ur amps.
The hu power output alone is quite powerful compared to other models.
But the design is traditional compared to other brands.

How is the review? rarely heard people bought Nakamichi these day, after there were "main in china".

Use to have a Nakamichi cd-player in house those day.

I dunno how to give review coz recently its my first time diy install ice system in my car.
I think its a very good value hu lor if compare with other brands.
Sound wise is ok lor. Sound is very sharp when playing hokkien songs, Hahaaa.

Convenient to have a separate output for the subs. Usually I m a basshead, but can easily turn off the subs when someone else is in my car.

changing to k453 will give u more flexibility while upgrade, especially the 3 pair rca out and the parametric eq....it's a steal at that price..some of my customer are actually using this hu with more than enough SQ in their car.

but, 453 is discontinued. if u looking for genuine local 456, which is the newer model with same spec, you can pm me...

For the price selling in auto garage for kdc-u456, it certainly beats the nakamichi
