I'd be really grateful if anyone could help me speculate on the possibility of biotech becoming a big field in Malaysia in the next few years. Of course I've heard of the Biovalley etc. plans.. but as well all know none of them have actually been put into action yet. Do you guys think this will improve drastically in the next few years?

Also, how about the prospects for research in universities? The govt was also talking about increasing the funding for research, as well as building a few research-based universities, in which one of the fields would be biotech. Is this -really- happening, or will it really happen?

Pls remember, I'm asking about Malaysia, not Japan or Singapore or etc... >_>
