Need Help. Whenever I use the "EMAIL" apps (Not Gmail), my screen brightness automatically tone down very minimum until I'm very hard to read it.
I tried disable the auto-brightness al same issues. Whenever, I exit the apps, the screen brightness back to normal. I find out that when i exit from the Email apps, there are half second inside the Email apps did brighten up the screen for a while before completely back to home screen. Anyway to rectify the brightness problem? Thanks. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Jan 3 2013, 02:51 PM) just press the volume down button to silent it. Too troublesome la.... If Volume Down it to Silence this call during meeting.... Then after meeting normally will forgotten to Volume Up back to receive call.... it will re-appear every time after you flash a new rom, doesn't matter wipe or no wipe. QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Jan 3 2013, 03:02 PM) 1. vol down as per suggested by cynox Thanks 2. turn the screen upside down. (enable the turn to silent motion first) 3. press power button to off screen. 1. Volume Down couldn't do as mentioned above... 2. Didn't turn on the Motion feature. (due to some reason). 3. Press Power Button (to sleep it) works GOOD! Thanks again! Good Post !!! |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 4 2013, 11:48 PM) Pressing vol up/down during an incoming call does not change the ringing volume. It just silence the call. So i dun see your point that your will forgot to up the volume. Thanks! I just tried as you explained more clearer... Yes. It definitely Silence A Call to make it as "Miss Call" by pressing the Volume Button (Either Up or Down) once, it only affect this current call ONLY, after that everything is back to normal. So, the Volume Button does not Control any kind of Volume other than to "Silence A Call". Thanks again for teaching to all. Good Post !!! QUOTE(Cynox @ Jan 3 2013, 02:51 PM) Thanks Cynox, your method is correct. Sorry was misunderstanding your post earlier. Thanks again ! Good Post to you too !!! |

On our Note 2, is there a way to make a Portable Wi-Fi hotspot shortcut on the front screen ?
Now I need to dig into the settings as follows :- Menu -> Settings -> More Settings ->Tethering and portable hotspot -> ON Very frequently I switch it On for 5 minutes & turn it Off. How to conveniently switch On & Off the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot ? Thanks. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 7 2013, 09:15 PM) On stock rom, it's one of the options on the toggle bar. On non-TW launchers, I think you can choose an Activity that links directly to the object that executes this action. Haven't tried that yet though. Thanks for reply.UPDATE: tried on Nova launcher, it allows creation of a shortcut directly to this screen under the Settings Activity > Portable Wifi Hotspot. I'm noob in Rooting and I don't intend to root it too. I'm using Stock ROM. Do you mean the Toggle Bar is the top bar to switch off/on those WiFi & Data ? If Yes, I don't see any "Portable Wifi Hotspot" option there What is "non-TW launchers" ? Sorry, any simple way to allow me to create some kind of shortcut to my Portable Wifi Hotspot ? So I can easily switch ON/OFF my Portable Wifi Hotspot. Thanks. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 7 2013, 11:29 PM) I'm on stock rom as well...oh I got the toggle bar mistaken with my other device running Paranoid Android. Hi Thanks.Anyway, yes, the stock rom toggle doesn't have this switch. You can download an app called TogglePanel that can configure toggles you want. TW=Touchwiz ie the standard launcher. Nova is another launcher where you can set shortcuts directly to the screens of many parts of the UI. I did tried TogglePanel and also found few others to Toggle the Hotspot. After testing & tried 6 apps, I found that Hotspot Toggle by Mehdy Bohlool is the effective, best & simple so far. Thanks for guiding me & found the widget directly control the Hotspot from screen... 1-click done! Thank you joytest |
