i have a maxis 3G Broadband data plan on my LTE set & i can dload in H+,H & 3g with no prob.. in 1U & tmn.Tun area

Questions is, do i need to subscribe to LTE package to enjoy the 4g network or it will connect to 4g if that area is 4g capable??

thanks

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 3 2013, 01:50 PM)
You need a new broadband simcard..i think.
Better confirm with Maxis first.

thanks for the advise,
i just call up to Maxis 123, they told me 4g lte is only for their wireless modem only, phone with lte capable is currently not supported even the famous Crapphone 4+1 with lte is unable to utilize it.... will drop by Tmn.Tun maxis center to find out later today

Any 1 can confirm this?

Woohoo nice new term crapphone 4+1 hahaha good one.

ipong 4+1 LTE frequency is different and does not have our band 2600MHz at all hahhaa so crapple will tell you just to wait for the updated model that supports this frequency and pay again for another one.

A fool and his money is soon parted.

bro, from an ergonomics perspective, having to crane your neck to look all the way up and back down at the road can cause vertigo and poses a safety risk.

I mount mine via a velcro-d mount immediately above the dial cluster so that I only need to shift my viewing angle with my eyes and I am still looking straight ahead.
*
kind of agreed with u, but normally i listen to it most of the time, only monitor it b4 car start moving. for safety reason.

my other way of mounting is just slit the Note2 in vertically between the steering and the center meter dash board. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Depends what you doing. Looks excessive for normal use but if gaming maybe. I lost almost 20% batt yesterday but it was for almost 1hr screen time running waze (meaning with gps and data on) but brightness was minimum.
*
almost same as mine... 30min of waze (meaning with gps and data on) with brightness set to 35% manual lost me 10% of fresh charge up batt from 100% hmm.gif hmm.gif

Oh ya , i remember someone mentioned that MAXIS's LTE only support broadband and not phone line for now . Am I correct ?

that is me i believe.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(amirudin920927 @ Jan 5 2013, 12:30 AM)
plus LTE just launch by Maxis at selected area only @TTDI n KLCC ..
*
correct but i went there front on maxis tmn. tun just to test out the 4g but only get H+....
straight to Maxis tmn.tun and they confirm it that, currently LTE is for the wireless modem they are selling, no support on all LTE phone yet till they make enough profit from this marketing strategy.... darn...

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 5 2013, 12:49 AM)
OMG, this is such an enlightenment while I live in dark for the past few days.
Off for DLL4 then.
Yes, it only supports pure broadband and not the one bundled with voice.
Can register in TTDI and KLCC Maxis.
It is available in other areas, my PJ house is within the coverage. smile.gif
*
not agree. either the pure broadband or the main line bundle with data package is not LTE capable until Maxis further notice....

QUOTE(neome @ Jan 5 2013, 12:51 AM)
Correct me if im wrong, but as far as my understanding goes, those prepaid broadband sim cards were meant to be used with the LTE USB modems, as maxis has clearly stated that their LTE services are only restricted to broadband services atm.
*
agreed... 100% smile.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 5 2013, 01:13 AM)
I believe they are just giving you an alternative.
LTE is now available for postpaid only.
*
not agreed. read my earlier post at top.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 5 2013, 01:18 AM)
~~duhh~
now i'm confused as Maxis already said LTE is available if your phone support it

no support on all LTE phone yet till they make enough profit from selling thier wireless 4g modem. is the cruel & reality of marketing strategy.... darn... mad.gif
