OTA only update the part that changes. Sammobile is the whole rom.

If you want the romow kernel, extract boot.img and make a flashable zip.
How to make a flashable kernel zip
1) Download an existing kernel cwm (eg perseus, neak etc.)
2) Extract the zip file
3) Replace the boot.img with the one you want (example the romow one)
4) Zip back the folder (do not delete or change anything else)
5) Done.

Been around android too long and open too many zip files. Dunno when i know this but i just know. If you explore the script in the zip files, you can create almost any flashable zip to flash anything.
