hi, today i had changed my original kembara cassett player to china brand cd/mp3 player, then i found that the bass of my old cassett player is heavier then the new cd/mp3 player, the settings for this cd player has set to max, may i know whats the reason, will a cheap amp help to provide more bass? any other ways to get more bass? like changing the speakers or adding a mini subwoofer? thanks

since u already say china mp3/cd player.. u cant expect much from it right.

i think kembara stock HU is clarion right? same like kenari?

what else do u change? just the HU?

to have more bass... a sub is a must!

get a 4 channel amp, 2x10" sub/12" sub, comp. set and a cheap pioneer cd/mp3 player ( relatively cheap <RM500.00 low end model)

Check ur watts for the casette player and CD player....

And also check if ur cd player has bass boost....

If ur still not satisfied, change new front 5" or 6" speakers with more bass, u can test each speaker at the acc shop, or if u have more money get a Component for front....

Or else get a 3-way 6x9 for the back, with better bass also.... its cheaper then getting an amp and subwoofer.

Go back to ur acc shop and ask for good bass speakers....

BTW, u shud post in ICE sub-forum for more replies...

Corrent me if i'm wrong but I'd think that it'll be more difficult to generate good bass in a SUV since there's more space. But since you said ur bass has decreased, did u check your eq settings?

then its not enough bass lo, dun expect much for a china brand HU.... just add a simple powered sub .... or, if u insists on adding amp+sub, just buy 2 channel amp cheapo one sub rm100+ and add a cheapo sub with enclosure... both around 200-250 only
