edit: nubs alert

anyhow, ayam a nub.

Currently I am under my family's plan as a sub on celcom. I rarely get pass to paying the minimum fee of 10-15rm for voice and sms.

My home broadband is under my name. Does that count as broadband data? *** streamyx

why even do the requirement to subscribe to broadband? might as well just give free broadband to the user, since paying extra 30-50rm per phone for 1yr isnt it more then 300rm.

So prepaid Umobile plan also can right?

I intend to try out.

Sony Xperia Tipo - 559? minus 200rm
Umobile prepaid starter pack - RM8 <free if migrate from other cell?>
+15% for migrated customer = top up 100 =115. Good for 10months. (can top up again 5th month to get another 115)
Activate UMI 18 - for broadband, 25minute talk,25sms. 250mb data
Or UMI 28 for 500mb broadband, 50 talk, 50sms

Cheaper then say data plan that Celcom sells.

since got 250 or 500mb data, can use Whatsapp and sms to heart content.

So total cost annually, if the prepaid plan is allowed.

559-200=359

Topup 200 value results in 230. for the 15% extra toppage.
Topup 300 value results in 345. +15%
If UMI 18 = 12X18 = 216 - Can be covered with 200 topup.
If UMI 28 = 12X28 = 336 - Can be covered with 300 topup.

So total comes up to 200+359. For the first year=559

yeah... i mean seriously, point 12 of the FAQ is moot.

Get a umobile prepaid + umi 18 = profit?

Implementation of this scheme is going to be a nightmare man...

But back to topic, I guess alot of ppl like Tipo and Lumia 610?

It is probably more like a wishful thinking then anything concrete. I just nod.gif

What a waste!
