Guys, wat multimedia dvd navigation system is nice for our City? Caska CA3631 ok?
*
If you're looking for OEM DVD navigation for our City, Caska is the best choice.

The new Caska with new D116 interface, not sure if it's available in English interface. drool.gif

that's damn cool bro.

btw, out of topic. I saw someone posted about Ford fiesta here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2676982

the spec is comparable to city other than not having a gear shifter. other than that, can someone enlighten me the differences between this two car?

I am feeling butthurt now...
*
Talking about the Fiesta 1.6L, for me it is better than City in almost every aspect.

Gearbox: City 5-speed automatic transmission, Fiesta 6-Speed Dual Clutch Powershift automatic transmission (dual clutch = faster gear change, more gear = more fuel efficiency)

Airbag: City 2, Fiesta 2 as standard, 7 for some model.

Chassis solidness: City built with regular steel, Fiesta built with boron steel (ultra-high-strength steel)

Just wanna lessen the hassle.

I guess most of the 2ndhand car value will not increase because of extra accessories installed like DVD head unit, bars etc. And that's why most of them take them off before selling the car so they can sell it separately for better price.

How about the selling price when sell your first hand car, is the price will be add on a bit because of extra thing installed like DVD, GPS, lock installed??
*
Agree with what Xin mentioned above. But I don't think the price will be increased that much because of accessories/mod installed.

Let's say if you have aftermarket rims installed when you sell your car, it doesn't mean that the buyer likes the rims too. If the buyer doesn't like, there's no point for him to buy the car with increased price.

For me the main factor that effect a car value is how well you maintain the car (engine condition, paint condition, accident before or not, etc). smile.gif

if im going to mod my stock player to DVD GPS player with rear reverse camera, will it going to void the warranty?

the seller says that it wont void as its all Plug and play without cutting any wire..
*
Basically installing OEM DVD GPS player would not void warranty as it is just plug and play, but installing a reverse camera would. Why? Because there is no plug and play socket made for a reserve camera, and the wire is usually connected from reverse lights, either a positive wire of left or right reverse light will have to peel/cut in order to made the connection (it supplies 12v power the camera whenever a reverse gear is engaged).

Mine is about 14-15km/l for 50% (highway) + 50% (city). Not bad for a car this 'heavy' haha. Too bad the fuel tank is tiny, so our range is only about 450 - 500km per tank most of the time.

Btw, I got this reply from Honda Malaysia facebook chat. Thought?

anyone find the tyre is too noise when driving...been driving this car since july last yr....i find the noise unbearable...any one did any treatment to it
*
There are 2 solutions:
1. change to better tires
2. do the front wheel arch soundproofing with STP Mastic or other brands - wanted to do, but no money tongue.gif

Is there an aftermarket radio antenna for our car? There's a lot of noise when listening to the radio (tried with Fly, Hitz, Red, Mix .. all got noise)

I can still listen to the song fine but it does get a bit annoying after you're used with the clean output from the USB/CD.
*
Can't deny our stock audio output from USB/CD/iPod is good enough, but radio reception is just so-so.

To solve this simply change the stock radio antenna to aftermarket or add an FM booster/amplifier to increase the range, something like this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBaaB_rp-SA

Most of the China aftermarket GPS/DVD doesn't have this issue because their unit comes with build in HD radio tuner.

I guess wheel arches soundproof is a better solution. Maybe we should arrange a small group purchase at KL Auto. tongue.gif

It looks like a factory defect. Try to complain with SC regarding this issue, depending on which SC you going to, hope they will fix it for you, but some SC will just walk away from complains.

The next day I bought my car about 3 years ago only I notice there was a small dent on my headunit, complaint to SC during my first service and they said the part is not under warranty as it is consider "wear and tear" part.

So it is our responsibility to check everything before we sign the document, lesson learned. smile.gif

But not to worry too much, your problem seems more serious than me, most probably they will fix it for you, I guess they are looking for solutions from other SC. biggrin.gif

Hi Guys, anyone know any Lyn Forumer selling the side step garnish / side sill garnish? the type with no LED, LED type will void warranty when cutting cable?
*
Not really, you may choose to install the type with LED that comes with original socket harness, only play and play, no cutting of any wire is required.

Do let me know if you are interested in getting one. smile.gif

I cant bring my self to remove it.... every time i try to remove it, my heart feel pain...

For driver seat, I removed it the same day I collected the day. For the rest of the seats and door panels plastic, I removed them the next day. tongue.gif
