Yeah president move on to oversea & ever since the club became very quiet and I also didn't pay visit as frequent as last time..some time visit but server problem...discouraging next visit...however recently the forum is back to working condition. Missed the good old day when members exchanging their idea or issues of the NHC.
*

hye all,

i just want to ask if i change my brake pad outside he HSC, will it void my car warranty since my car is still under warranty...any good performance brake pad that u all can suggest and how much it will cost since im believe if i change it at HSC they will charge me very expensive..raya is coming...money is everything...=)

btw...my car is 2012 black pearl honda city... biggrin.gif
*
It won't void your warranty if you change back to Honda stock Nissin brake pads.. I'm did it outside.. RM200++ instead of RM400++ by SC..

Just go to honda spare parts shop get it and ask any workshop to change... SC won't notice anything...

Adding voltage stabilizer and grounding cable will void the car warranty?
*
Don't think so... Mine been having it since day one... If scare HC saying void warranty.. then remove it before sending it to HC... I meant when you need to do warranty claim..

sigh ... my city 3yr plus liao and my petrol consumption keep droping like crazy. dunno for what reason. now per full tank pure city driving only can give me abt 300km. thats like wira quality nia. using k&n, nvr service outside from honda before. i get a feeling its got someting to do with my gearbox .. its so sluggish
*
Just start to do a full flush of gear oil every 20k interval... I'm currently mantaining this way to prolong my gearbox...

About 300km per tank.. you heavy footed?

I also pure city driving... car is 4 and half years d... average between 340-380km per tank.. but I do drive fast.. morning and evening rush can hit 130-150kmph... hehe

Flush gear oil every 20k? Mine already 30k, need to flush or this only applies after certain KMs (after 60k - 80k?).
*
Honda does partial flush at 40k and another partial at 60k then full flush at 80k..

For me with the price HC charged for partial flush every 20k from 40k... I can do FULL flush outside every 20k.. To have better maintainance on gearbox.. my mechanic advised me to do flushing every 20k...

All above depends on individual...

hey Shreddy..long time no see in forum  biggrin.gif well actually is 103K KM now, you now 6K ahead of me already  cool2.gif How much did you pay for your 100K service actually, RM680 only all & all? That's cheap compared to RM1K in Honda SC!
*
Yeah Silverarrow... Long time no see in forum and also sorry for the last minute contact when I was in Penang 2 months back.. rush trip...

Hehe... Actually I did my spark plugs change at 100k about RM500 plus labour.

Then I did my oil changed and gear oil flush at 101k about RM200 plus labour..

So if not wrong about RM700... hehe... I do outside now... At my own convienient timing.. next service is 114k... hehe should be changing the absorbers... which will cost around RM450 front and back..

No issue bro, see you next round. Bring your minions together I want to meet them haha. Anyway, you definitely found a good & quality non Honda workshop. Absorbers should change at 100K normally? Get the sport type?
*
Not very sure about whether confirm need to change by 100k... coz my mechanic also couldn't give me the exact mileage to change... he said just use until got knocking sound then confirm must change..

For me, I felt my absorber quite soft compare to when new...

If change also go back to stock honda absorber.. not changing to sport type which are lowered and stiffer.. haha now old d.. need more comfort...

full flush gear oil ... this will require 6 - 7litre of gear oil ... the one they do at the sc type or just normal at the typical workshop?
*
Yup.. 6 to 7 litres full flush... I do it outside... drained and refill.... haha.. saw SC do it.. same way... no equipments needed one..

Anyone of you changed the atf fluid before 60k?
My service advisor said tht atf will be change during 60k service. Is it true?
I'm sceptical to believe him because my gear shifting now is not very smooth and bit harsh.

My car done 11k. Advice needed. Many thanks
*
I doubt it will be the ATF Fluid... you should ask them check the gearbox... ATF should be able to last for more than 60k... I suggest you do a full flush on the ATF to try... if it is still sluggish.. then request for a warranty claim on the gearbox...

Just got my car yesterday. Currently 13.5km per liter. Just done 300km..
*
You looking at the dashboard information or self calculation?

I felt yours is the dashboard information which doesn't really show the real FC...
To check your FC... Pump full tank... Reset your ODO... finished tank.. Pump full tank.. then take total Mileage divided by litres that just pumped in

QUOTE(j45on @ Aug 6 2013, 09:33 PM)
Your's is the pre face lift rims. Is it the same as the post face lift rims? No problem with the fenders?
*
Sorry about the older rims, mine is 2009 purchased City.. I think the facelift rims are same specifications... I have no problem with fenders...

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Aug 6 2013, 09:40 PM)
85k on the odo

around 11km/L. mostly city driving with lots of jam

and my car is S spec with smaller rims. E spec might be higher in fc
*
FC for both S and E specs are very similar... FC depends on how you drive... light/heavy footed... I got friends whom is on S spec but FC worst than my E spec...

QUOTE(earl-ku @ Aug 7 2013, 12:01 AM)
changed to a set of Achiles Sport something ... 240 - 250 a piece, after 4 months ride, the tyre started cracking

changed back to Continental CPC2 but up a lil on the size 195/50/16 at 280 or 290 a piece ...
*
Hehe.. I gotten my Yokohama A.Drive R1 205/50/R16 at RM280 a piece

Can expected a little bit better after run in, but don't expect big different as naturally City is quite heavy & comes with 16" rim. To archive good FC important factor is you don't have a lead right leg.  smile.gif
*
Install throttle controller to assist in heavy footed drivers? tongue.gif

Yeap, i believed there are some difference in chemical formula
I drive myvi frequently back to my hometown, and Petronas gives the best power/lowest FC. followed by petron. shell's the worst..can feel the lack of power

anyways UGPM
*
Hmm depends on what a particular driver needs... For me I prefer less power and better FC... I'm quite heavy footed.. therefore i use Shell.. defer me from the power eventhough i heavy footed... and end up i get better FC...

Hehe.. For me (Town drive)
Shell - 320-360km per tank
Petron - 280-300km per tank
Caltex - 280-300km per tank
Petronas - 240-280km per tank
BHP - 260-290km per tank

i already ban shell 95 as it is d worst fuel i used so far...
my fren who his father own a petrol station...
said caltex is d best fuel so far...
as it is "imported" one...
i'm not quite sure though...
but caltex do giv me d best power...
but not d best fc...
BHP is d one which gav gd power / fc...
dis is base on my modded wira...
petronas would be my 3rd choice...
i do heard quite alot of ppl said petronas giv gd power & fc...
*
Hmmm "imported"? All malaysian oil are imported lower grade fuel than our own malaysian extracted fuel.

Your friend's father own a petrol station surely is Caltex... whom won't said the product they selling not the best?

Like I said... you want power then surely lose FC...

For me, I want more FC than power... KL roads everyday also jam... power fuel but goes wastage during jam..
Haha... long distance travel... I choose Shell too... constant speed from KL to Penang (personal best), full tank mileage 515km with 33 litres or 15.5km per litre of fuel

All this concluded down to what an individual wants...
Power with lousy FC (BHP/Petronas)...
Good FC with no power (Shell)...
In between (Caltex/Petron)
