Lets continue the discussion here, my City is now almost 3 years old, gonna renew insurance for the third year, did bout almost 53k km, just change a third set of tyres, lotsa dents, need a fresh coat of paint on both front and rear bumpers ...

And needs a polish and claying on the car as well ...

Guys, wat multimedia dvd navigation system is nice for our City? Caska CA3631 ok?

A bit regret since the SA only give me RM5,630 discount RM2,200 for tinted and RM3,900 for Navigation/DVD + reverse camera. I were wondering it really took RM3,900 to install the navigation system? Well now waiting the bank to approve the loan

Oh! not bad man, get tat much discount. RM3.9k for the navigation system? Wat brand? Some brand is exp, like Caska; I asked juz nw, RM3.2k.

Almost 4k for the DVD/Navigation system? A little too expensive I think.. what brand are those? I hope not those 'OEM' one since I'm pretty sure you can get those for under 2K.

If you're looking for OEM DVD navigation for our City, Caska is the best choice.

The new Caska with new D116 interface, not sure if it's available in English interface.

There is a another SA from another showroom give me discount about RM6130 I can save another RM500, I not sure what brand is that the SA din't explain much on the brand and tinted just ask me if I want to install them it can be add into the loan so I just say yes and he gave me document to sign. I wonder the loan haven't approve yet but so fast I have to sign so many things already

The price had been added into the loan too, just asking is that possible at the end when the loan approve I don't want to install at their showroom I take the extra RM6100 go outside and install at other shop? Because RM6100 at can install tinted modulo body kit and navigation system already I think

I'm collecting my Honda City tomorrow. Polished metal is the color.

Going to send it for tinting (opting for black, or grey) for all sides except for the back I will do a double layer (to reduce the glare from cars using high beam).

I want to install the new grill and a central lock (either rpm or pedal lock), I wonder how much these cost?

The navi system can add into loan? How bout body kit?

I am still in the midst of considering to get the City.

If modulo bodykit (PP material) from outside costs around RM1500 cheap or expensive?

And what brand of tinting is good enough? Budget around 1k~2k. Can get Vkool with that price range?

Yup I wanna get year 2013 City. There are many types of tints from v-kool right? Which is moderate one?

A shop here in Nilai quote me 1.4k for the kit (PP material) including paint+installation. So the price should be around that i think, maybe more or less RM100 depending on your place.

Any one downgrade their rim to 15" from 16"?

What's the different between ABS and PP modulo body kit? Which one better?

Yoo...Juz installed the New City facelift Modulo Trunk Spoiler (Wing type). but nd to drill holes... sakit hati...

If want remove time, maybe tat time its time to spray new colour. Refill the hole n spray... n its very small hole only.
Btw, many new car today also nd to drill hole for the Spoiler like Vios TRD, Myvi, Alza, Civic Modulo and more... unless for those Ducktail spoiler which use double sided tape to stick ones.

Hehe same as mine, need to drill 4 holes to secure the spoiler, but looks very nice compared to the duck tail one so I wouldn't mind the holes. I got mine installed at Honda, pretty sure warranty is intact. Its the official modulo kit from them after all.

Haha! Ya, looks nice n sporty. Actually I planned to install the modulo ducktail spoiler ones but after demo, put on my city both spoilers. I decided to install modulo truck wing type spoiler.

What is the reason you want to downgrade?

No, just the spoiler. But I'll plan to do the whole kit some day, the kit actually adds stability to the car so its not just for decoration. (from what I read at other Honda City forum. huhu)

Price not bad for the LockTech, let us know how's the installation went.. not sure how much for the grill, probably 200 - 300?

Yea I saw that news on paper yesterday, but I think it only works for car that have 1 button to unlock/lock the car. City got 2 buttons to unlock/lock so when they record the frequencies to lock, they can't unlock.. unless they record your unlock frequencies and wait for you to come back some other day.

Just my thought, not sure if this is really the case.. huhu.

For better fuel economy, and cheaper tire as well. Can use 195/55/R15 tire too right? A bit more comfort I guess with the thicker tire? Huhu. Maybe doesn't look so nice.

Collected my City Polished Metal E Spec on Saturday....Got The Modulo Body kit with Duck tail spoiler(my prefered choice) and Mugen Door Visor installed for RM1180.00...this inclusive of paint and Installation...job well done....
After 1st service..will change to K&N or Redline filter... ....The ride is awesome...

Congrats bro, we got the same colour but I didn't opt for the body kit. Just the wing type spoiler

I heard that the door visor is the main cause for wind noise when driving at speed above 120km/h. I got one installed as well but thinking of removing it because of it.. is it true?

Planing to replace my filter with K&N as well, just waiting for the stock filter to get dirty enough for replacement.

The Kit was not at the dealership..i did it outside la.....PP material...At Honda its too expensive..somemore without spoiler..

Haha once you start to drive above 120km/h then then wind noise does get a bit annoying. The visor does looks really cool, which is why I'm a bit hesitant to take it off.. Maybe should drive a bit slower so no wind noise. Haha.

Would you mind taking photo of the body kit on your ride? Workmanship is good? Where did you install yours?

Oh photo..yes...Haven't taken it yet...Will do....coz photo of Polished metal ride with bodykit..very less....there is so many photos of white ones...(sadly out of stock).......So I'll get my DSLR out and do Photo shoot....but somehow I miss my Old ride ....I was a heavyhearted moment...

Proton Waja 1.6M 2006...It served me well for a proton(Suprisingly)..6.5 yrs..Never failed to bring me home safely...No extra cost apart from regullr maintenance..

RM999.00 is full set with spoiler

Its just that i chose the Ducktail type.

If not you will get the normal design that you see on Most new City...

So you pay RM999.00.....your car will look exactly like tyhe Modulo spec

Nothing Removed.....3M tape + Screw just like what you see at the show room.

If you want the bodykit give this guys a try. I'm not kidding..they really do things with persision.

That's a good price oh.. really tempted now. Haha.

I already have the spoiler so price should be a bit less that RM999..

It will totally the same with the modulo by installing in the showroom since the one you install is PP and I heard people say Honda Modulo body kit also made from PP. The price really cheaper a lot, hoping to install it once I get my City but it's quite hard for me since I'm from Penang will have to travel down so far

I think its the one stick on the side skirt on shown on the third photo in the Mudah link. Still considering what color to go for my City Any suggestion? Taffeta white or sparkling brown?

You want to be noticed!!!! Go white.....The new sparkling brown is nice too but looks more like black color......but sadly No white stock available....Black, sparkling brown, silver was not my choice...so settled for polished metal....

led light for aircond button is faulty, change in service center? or outside can do?
my fuel door jam cannot open , need to use a card to open it. anyone fix before how much?

Outside can do for the led light but must make sure the shop is familiar with honda city cuz it will dismantle ur whole console to replace that small led.

For fuel door cant open this might be the rubber thingie gone, so the metal door lid when push cannot touch the small rod. If not wrong, SC is selling RM40 for that rubber else you can DIY like below

wonder if anyone fitted 195/55/16 Yoko C-Drive 2 to our stock rim? Will it hit fender when ferrying 2 adults? And how does it look?

I'm using ADrive, FC not much different than stock (got about 460km per tank or so), wear I'm not sure since its been only a few month since I change my tire. I don't remember how the old one sound but City road noise insulation is terrible so I think pretty much the same. Haha.

Does anyone feel that our car is a bit heavy to accelerate? I always feels like I'm carrying a huge load in the back or something.. it helps if I could lose a few KGs myself but I feels like the car could do better.

My 3 years old city reaching 60k mileage soon. Planning to service it outside because honda SC was quite pricey. Since 60k services will be a major services, so your guy pls recommend me should i service by SC or outside? If outside any shop recommend around SEL/KL area? Thanks

Hmm probably the rim, the stock rim is pretty heavy. After market 16" light rim is expensive, maybe down grade to 15"?

I agree with the heavy feel to the car's acceleration. Is it due to its heavier weight compare to other sedan in it's range? Need some data for comparison.

Otherwise, I wonder if it's because the car kicked in a gear lower than it should when we needed the boost? However the fact remains that the engine is considered small for the size it's enclosed in.

Other than it, the car feels quite solid doing 130km/hr but what can you expect from a 1,500?

You're probably right, the car is quite heavy for the 1.5l engine.. highway cruising is good though

You using this? How much does it cost? I heard the XM2 is quieter so I might just swap my current tire with this.. or downgrade to 15" with and use 195/60/R15.. haha.

it shouldnt be more bumpy cuz youre using the same profile 55, mayb you can try reduce the tyre presure..that might reduce the bumpiness...

I'm using 195/50/R16 right now.. huhu.. hard to find 195/55/R16..

Make sure the pen drive is formatted to FAT32 but not NTFS.

That is correct. It's formatted to FAT32. I tried 32GB and 8GB. Doesn't work on both. Came out "DEVICE" on the panel.

My car have been in workshop for almost 3weeks now. Scared later having trouble to start the car.

it cost ,290-300 KL, If in Klang only RM265, less noise and soft abit.

Ask them start everyday. lucky last time my workshop just next to Honda SC , get change new straight away

the claim insurance agent choose that workshop. Now really scared. Not more than a year. Still new.

195/185 is the width of the tire, wider is generally better for stability and handling but will also increase the fuel consumption a bit.

55/50 is the thickness of the tire profile (the sidewall). thicker profile will make the care more comfortable but will also cause more body roll compared to a thin profile. Thin profile looks good (especially on 17" rim) but the car will be quite harsh and hard..

The default City (E) is 185/55/R16..

Hope this shed some light to your question, it may not be the brightest light though. Haha.


Your MP3 bitrate is below 320k? Mine work flawlessly with Kingston 32GB thumbdrive.

Basically for E-spec is using 6j rim which means the max we can go for width is 205. There is the 3% upsize rule where our current stock tyres size diameter do not EXCEED 3% if you're going for a bigger tyres. Because of the change in size, your speedometer readings will also change. However if you upgrade below the 3% rule, your speedo reading wont so different.

205/50/R16 our speedometer will only have a diff of 0.2% or 0.1mph faster.With this spec your speedometer readings will be 0.2% greater than indicated. When your speedo reads 30mph you will actually be doing 30.1mph

195/50/R16 our speedometer will have a diff of 1.4% or 0.4mph slower. With this spec your speedometer readings will be 1.4% lessor than indicated. When your speedo reads 30mph you will actually be doing 29.6mph

195/55/R16 our speedometer will have a diff of 1.8% or 0.5mph faster. With this spec your speedometer readings will be 1.8% greater than indicated. When your speedo reads 30mph you will actually be doing 30.5mph

As we can see, the best optimum spec which is closest to our 185/55/R16 will be 205.

If wanna change rim then

205/45/R17 is the best option... as only diff of 1.0% or 0.3mph faster.

Hi all, my NHC clocked to 1300km now..Rm 60 can max reach 340-350km only. totaly city drive...but no traffic jam (small hometown)..only speed below 80kmh..sometimes can go for 1 min 100kmh...do you all experienced bros tihnk this is normal? or need after 5k service only can achieve better FC?

yup its normal, it gets better after you service your car and the longer you drive it ..
