QUOTE(sapidin @ Sep 23 2013, 11:54 AM) owh..thanks for ur explanation.. for me, i'll juz stick to mineral w30. unless honda changes its interval to 10k, then go for full syncconsidering to change the type of oil since im travel a lot..usually 5k service interval just finish within 2 months only next service will be 30k service and im sure will cost me more... QUOTE(wee8023 @ Sep 23 2013, 12:05 PM) Icic, is it better to change oil on 1k service?? Other beand like T also change on 1k service. My 4th Refuel
Petronas ~ rm65 , 500km = 16.15km/l 40% urban, 60% rural drive Pumped Petron (esso) , instantly felt the difference, 'underpower' and power delivery is slower. car's less 'lively'. not sure if it's placebo effect |

QUOTE(ascll @ Oct 1 2013, 03:28 PM) Petronas seem giving your City the superb FC, but not mine Honestly, i'm not sure if it's the placebo effect or not. Tried Petronas, it's just as good/bad as Shell. For my City, Caltex seems giving better power despite with HIGH FC like others (Shell/BHP/Petronas)... but i had good experiences using petronas on myvi, wira..and city .. have not tried caltex, but petron seems on par with shell (which is in my bottom list) |

some comments after 2months driving:
a) yes, it's silent, even at times i'm not sure if i've actually started the engine b) S spec, stock tire goodyear GT3 is relatively noisy, can't wait to change it when it's due c) As i travel frequently back to my hometown, 20km/l is achievable. my latest drive got me 600km (brim -> low light fuel up) .So far, i find petronas suits my drive best. I'm a driver that practises ECO driving d) sound proofing is quite good, like many, front passenger glove area has some rattling sound over certain bumps profile e) AC is a weak on a hot day. even MAX setting coldness takes quite a while to cool down the entire cabin f) fabric and door panels attracts alot of marks/stain g) handbrake fitting/quality feels cheap and 'loose'. doesn't give you the impression of well fitted. am I the only one feeling it? QUOTE(whitewhite @ Oct 23 2013, 09:29 AM) I think those problem most propably are caused by the mixture of the fuel as my friend 2 years old city used with petronas 95 most of the time doesn't has the problem as what i faced eg underpower n knocking noise For my case and experience, shell has the worst performance. car juz feels sluggish, i'm sure that's not a placebo effect. My practice, i will try to empty the tank to the max before refilling each time to have a feel on the fuel. Petronas= best power, Petron = midrange power, Shell= worst. have not tried BP/caltexWill try to raise this problem to sc on my next service QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Oct 23 2013, 09:43 AM) nothing, major would be 40k |

QUOTE(BlackWoods @ Nov 18 2013, 11:02 AM) About 70% highway 30% city drive? before the 1st service, i was having bad experience with ShellWhat engine oil you are currently using? I'm on 0W20 now, Shell 95 around 340KM, 11.8km/l, 75% City 25% Highway. Shell tends to give slight better FC (Around 10-15km more) but can feel the lose of power and torque. Thus, i decided to try Shell again after my 1st service (cheapest mineral w30), and i have the same conclusion as you, more mileage at the expense of power/torque 70% , not really full highway, is the coastal road i use back to my hometown, puncak alam- kuala selangor-sekinchan-teluk intan- manjung..if one is familiar with the way. around 15-20 traffic lights total |

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Nov 18 2013, 12:23 PM) May I know how many hours to be arrive on your hometown? i usually start early, around 8am. have been driving that route for past 5yrs. no summon..so farI know the road, there have some limit speed especially in Teluk Intan, one road only can speed 60km which I kena before... You didn't drive on highway when back homwtown? but you can still achieve for good FC oh with these road My hometown around there and I used to be drive back on highway where exit on Gopeng toll Yes, good FC on that road, that's why on highway, 20km/l is achieveable |

QUOTE(BlackWoods @ Nov 24 2013, 03:22 PM) More or less the same like me, mine's slightly worse at 300~320km before the indicator lights up. again, which driving conditions? as i've shared several times, i've managed 550-600km / full tank consistently.Using 0W20 Fully synthetic oil, last time was on normal mineral, FC didn't improve. Tried Shell, Caltex, Petronas and Petron, don't know what's the problem or the FC it's like that already. |
