QUOTE(alanwch @ Oct 23 2013, 03:59 PM) Happen to pass by the famous klang tire shop last weekend and asked any Toyo tires size suitable for our Honda city e spec. They recommended 195/55/16 since there is no 185/55/16. Has anyone tried Toyo tires? I'm currently on the stock CPC2 tires. Wish to get some input which one is better. Continental CPC2, Michellin XM2 or Toyo tires. I'm thinking to replace the noisy stock tires too... Considering Continental MC5 with size 205/50R16, since Michelin Primacy 3 ST "no size" for City stock rims...

QUOTE(whitewhite @ Oct 24 2013, 07:57 PM) The most widest tyre which can fit into stock rim is 205?? Or can be wider? I guess max 215, but not recommended!

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Oct 29 2013, 05:55 PM) Honda fully synthetic engine oil got 2 types, 0W-20 is more on fuel efficiency while 5W40 is more on performance, I'm using 0W20 all the time on my City never try any others before but I feel the FC is quite good. The original price for 0W-20 is RM150.59 after 20% discount is RM120.47 You sure you get the 20% discount? I tot by default should be 15% off!

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Oct 29 2013, 07:51 PM) In term of protecting the engine semi-sync is doing better than fully-sync? Actually my driving style sometimes could quite aggressive But recently changed to a more eco style due to want to see good FC the car can achieve, and yes doing below 100km/h most of the time in town and highway only around 100km/h-110km/h. 20,000km service soon since my car already 19,600km++ already, considering change to another full-sync 5W-40 as my car feel like under power sometimes not sure it's the engine oil problem or petrol problem and want to try see the difference big or not Thanks for sharing Let us know the result once you changed to 5W-40

Alert!!!
Never ever go to Honda SC at OKR!!!
I just sent my car for 5,000 service. The service advisor there recommended me compulsory items (0W-20) and all optional items, and I end up chosen 0W-20, oil filter and washer.
Suspiciously, the job sheet printer is with SEMI engine oil, and I spot this mistake (intentionally or unintentionally by sale advisor), and the service advisor just cross it using the pen, but I insist to put 0W-20, so he end up hand written the 0W-20 there. Meantime, I did mention I need to take back the remaining oil, which the service advisor agreed.
My car was ready 90 minutes later, and the sale advisor told me the remaining oil is in my car. When I reach home, I check out the oil, and found that the remaining oil definitely is NOT NEW, but those USED engine oil (based on the colour and thickness), probably from my car before they change. FYI, I have 15 years driving experience, and serviced my previous car at workshop, and always requested and checked the remaining oil, so I hardly go wrong.
My concern is what type of oil (new or used) they put in my engine???
Anyway, I have reported this issue to my Salesman, but I don’t think he will or able to do anything or perhaps, this is “common” for that SC.
Advice Avoid Honda SC at OKR. If there is your only option, be caution and good luck!

QUOTE(BlackWoods @ Nov 11 2013, 01:07 PM) I'm using the 0W-20 as well now after 2000km+ (which is actually 5k service but my mileage is low) The FC is the same when my City came out from factory with the mineral. Driving style is the same. Feel a bit waste of money..lol Hi BlackWoods, Mind to share which SC you did the servicing? Are you sure they changed the 0W-20 engine oil? I have the same experience as you, and I changed mine at OKR. I doubt the engine oil they replaced If you read my post, you will know why I'm in doubt

Hi,
I’m thinking to have 3M carbon fiber vinyl to cover up the mirrors and the black plastic at doors’ edge.
Anyone did this? Mind to share where to get the genuine 3M vinyl in KL/Selangor?

QUOTE(winterwish @ Nov 18 2013, 12:57 PM) I plan to do the same but will less noticeable carbon fiber pattern. Maybe something dark. The rubber got all worn out and ugly already due to the long exposure under the sun Let me know when you've done yours. Found the source @ https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1488086But must be DIY

QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Nov 19 2013, 11:42 PM) i did that around 2 yrs back if not mistaken.. 3M gloss on roof and carbon vinyl at all the plastic in between windows.. all around 500+.. What is the different between "3M gloss" and "3M carbon vinyl"? Is your 3M sticker still in GOOD condition after 2 years? Mind to share where you (which shop) did it?

QUOTE(Rhadykall @ Nov 21 2013, 12:26 PM) Hi bros. Going for the 1000 KM service this weekend. Any thing I should look out for? Looking under Maintenance at Honda Malaysia site the price will be 20++ and even that is for labor charges which will be free anyway so what do they do for 1000 KM service actually? lol By default, NOTHING will change in 1,000 service, just various inspections... So it's FREE!
