Hi all SIFUs here,

Can someone answer me few question about City:
1) What is the stock spark plug for HondaCity? Can NGK IZFR6K13 be used? How much is a spark plug for City usually?
no idea on this

2) What is the stock air filter for HondaCity? Is there any need to use k&n performance drop in air filter? How much is a air filter for City usually (new or cleaning)?
the stock paper filter needs to be changed every 40k, but when normal service just blow to clean it ... i have mine changed to KNN - just change to KNN

3) What is the stock brake pad for HondaCity? How much is a brake pad for City usually?
stock brake pads are Nissin, but lotsa fake out there - SC charges bout 800 for rear and front. but at that price u can get aftermakrket - project mu edy

4) I'm using castrol 10w-40 semi-synthetic oil for service. May i know Should i change every 5k km or 7.5k km?
rule of thumb for this is semi syn - 5k interval, and fully syn - 10k
but our weather and i am sure we do lotsa start stop driving, just stick to 5k interval, semi or full - up to you
but lotsa fully syn oil can hit 10k to 12k interval, some brands up to 15k

5) also im looking if there is any recommended workshop around sri petaling/OUG/Kuchai area?
google Speed Mod Motorspot

Thankyou all.  notworthy.gif

thanks for ur recommendation.. installed both strut bars and the result is very good... rclxms.gif
at the accessories shop, the worker recommend me to install throttle controller...any of forumers here install it?
just want to know the benefit of it and whether the sport mode can make our city engine overheat or not... blink.gif

For road cars.. I can say that there's no benefits to install a throttle controller. That piggyback device is only to trick the ECU to deliver more fuel & air as compared to original settings when you step on the gas. Thus you will think that your car gain power but in reality, that is not the case.. If you want more power, just step on the accelerator more.. biggrin.gif

how are what? the quality? the price? price-wise, you can always ask them which is optional so you can opt not to change/install these if it is really not within your budget. as you can read from this thread, if you want cheaper service cost, you can also choose to use mineral oil. do check with the sales agent if the free workmanship offer for scheduled service is still ongoing. can save a lot from that too. 100,000km @ 5 years. after that you can always service outside bro smile.gif

as for quality wise, i've only recently done my 5,000km service so not really in a position to comment much. but so far, nothing has gone wrong. changed exhaust from front to end no problem encountered warranty-wise. rims and tires too but i have yet to claim warranty on anything so yeah lol.

New 2012 City now with unlimited mileage @ 5 years warranty. sweat.gif (its good since your car is covered even if you drive a lot (mine already clocked at 55k after 1.5 years), but its bad too since you can't service outside until the 6th year if you want to be covered by the warranty)

so far my mileage is around what they expected - 5000km every around 3 months plus they're not that strict (so far if doesn't exceed by 1000km it's okay according to what they answer when i asked) so i'm all good in that department smile.gif

if we exceed the service mileage will it void the warranty? let say i send my car for service at 36,500km instead 35,000km as per service book..

for this you need to call up the service center you go to and ask them got issue or not if send by this or that mileage. if they don't mind then no issue.

Should be fine, they're not that strict unless you exceed like 3,000km. But to be safe just call up your SC and tell them about it. Its hard to follow the book 100%.

Remember to ask them to exclude anything optional (fuel cleaner, windscreen cleaner and all that crap). The RM800 on the website is meant of mineral oil, if you use semi or fully it will cost more obviously. Which SC are you going to send your car to?

I always skip the air-cond service. Haha. Maybe I'll do it on my next minor service. Doing the air-cond with major service is bloody expensive.

GA Bangi? That's my SC as well tongue.gif. Got free coffee/milo, movie room with projector, fast wifi, clean toilet, got RM5 cafe coupon for breakfast too. Have not had any experience with other SC, but definitely better than my previous Suzuki SC. Haha.

for sure not for re-use when accumulate and get full 5 litre... biggrin.gif
the oil can be use for other purpose beside as a way to ensure that SC use the rite oil as they charge us..in my case is fully syn oil...we never know what oil they use since we do not monitor them when they service our car rite.. blush.gif
