Guys, I lost my phone and bought a new one, exact model. Then, after log in with Microsoft account on the new phone, all the contacts, settings, etc is there. However, what about my purchased app? Have to re-purchase or what? Thanks.

It should automatically install for you. If it doesn't, you can manually install yourself. Just click the 'buy' button and it'll say that you've already purchased the app and you can just install it.

I think that's Nokia Music before the rebranding several months ago.

WhatsApp is great, but I really, really want a proper Facebook messenger solution.

What I dislike the social integration is limited. They keep brag about it but only support limited.

Facebook chat don't support offline sending message

you can send fb message to your offline friends via the native messaging app. It asks you to 'try text instead' but you can just ignore it and send.

this offline functionality has been around in wp7, it was a background cloud update from Microsoft's side.

if not happy with native messaging app, try downloading ICQ app, works perfectly for facebook chat  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Nice, how does it compare to IM+? Or other apps that support similar functionality.

I never really considered using an app for FB Chat because back then push notifications are very unreliable in WP7 (except whatsapp), but WP8 changed the game.

Tried ICQ for one day for FB Chat, so far so good, notifications are instant, able to send offline messages, minimal impact on battery life, and most importantly messages are consistent.

The native Messaging app has weird issues with receiving messages if my friend uses Facebook Messenger on Android/iOS. Some messages come through some don't.

I'd probably try IM+ next week or so just to get a feel for it. biggrin.gif

i am fine with the OS, just those bug really  mad.gif

And yea..unstable apps;

Sometimes playing game..then game freeze and phone restart.
Open back..all my process gone...but my achievement still got..WTF is this  vmad.gif

Another thing is music..(i sync via WMP); once restart all my music album will become unknown.
Thus need delete and resync (1k+ song)
*
I sync my music with the Windows Phone App from the Windows 8 Store, no problems. (They do create folders for artists which I don't really like... I prefer all my MP3's in one folder.) I just reformatted my computer and I might try the Windows Phone Desktop app... I think that allows wireless syncing I'm not sure.

anyone know different if turn off background task for here drive+? i tried turn off and on using the here drive+...seem nothing different, still can resume...
*
Background task is for the app to track your movement habits to give you optimized directions, it also will have a live tile displaying how many minutes to reach work etc. taking into account of traffic conditions. Personally I'm not sure how it works exactly cause I don't drive.

But in the beginning of the beta this background tasks has been known to use a lot of battery, I'm not sure if it's been fixed or not...
