agree with you that some popular apps or games need to come into WP platform...

If I recalled read somewhere that LTE services is not activated by default, Nokia Malaysia will have to rollout software update to enable the LTE services on the Lumia... Furthermore, not sure if Maxis LTE services is enable for smartphones as I read their website is currently only for their Mobile Broadband services...

I'm actually waiting for Celcom LTE

coz he/she's migrating from WP 7.5 to WP 8, so I don't think the Backup function will be there...

I tried the above with my L920, transfer the music via the Windows Phone app on Windows 8 PC and it will automatically create the Artist Folder and Album Folder (this is inside the Artist Folder)... then go over to the L920 Music hub, you can only have Delete function on the Song and not the Album itself...

If I delete the song either from the L920 phone itself or the Windows Phone app on desktop, I noticed that the Artist folder (this folder has no song coz I just deleted it) still remains on the phone when view using Windows Explorer... however the Artist folder is not visible on the L920 music hub nor the Windows Phone app when view what's on the phone...

I normally just goes to the Windows Explorer and delete off those empty Artist folder... reason for me to have those empty folder is because of all my Chinese songs having East Asian characters which I need to ensure all are intact when transferred into the L920

this is somehow what I noticed so far on the Music transfer on WP8 and Windows 8

Added on January 3, 2013, 7:32 amyou can but not directly... screen capture your phone using the shortcut key (power key + windows logo key) that comes with WP8 which will then saved into your pictures folder name screenshot... go into Whatsapp and click attach function to attach the screenshot that was saved inside the screenshot folder...

Hi evilpuppy, just wanna check if you did set the "Highest Connection Speed" to "3G" under the Settings > Mobile Network function there... perhaps it will stabilized it... just my 2cents...

Nope, the Alarm clock will not work if you turn off the phone. This is for Lumia 920 and not sure on HTC.

Maxis has just launch 4G LTE mobile plan with Nokia Lumia 920... just wonder if anyone here planning to switch over to 4G LTE?

I just re-read the statement from Maxis that there is no specific LTE plan... if you're currently a Maxis subscriber with a Data Plan and your phone is supporting the LTE band (2600 MHz), once you and your phone falls into the LTE zone, you will have LTE connection...

The question now is that will our outright purchased phone from Nokia Store is LTE ready out of the box? I heard is that Nokia need to push software to activate... perhaps maybe Lumia 920 from Maxis already pre-loaded with the activation for LTE... someone with the knowledge needs to confirm this hehehe...

I'm not too sure about Maxis, but I'm on Celcom at the moment whereby whenever there is a data connectivity, the logo will show H+ on my Lumia 920... I'm still yet to upgrade to Portico, so not sure if H+ is really 4G LTE... if I'm not mistaken H+ is HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access)..

my average speedtest on H+ network is usually around 6Mbps... the 2 slow download rate is when I choose Server from China hahaha to test the actual speed when it's not located within Malaysia network...

from your other reply, you mentioned you have 10Mbps on H+ network of Maxis which is rather good... but if that is 4G LTE, then it may not be the speed perhaps? need some real 4G LTE sifu here

Why would Nokia Care charge for a software update?!... this is something I cannot understand... I rather wait for March 2013... this make them look bad for charging RM40... sigh***

Question, when you try your phone in TTDI, are you using WiFi or the Telco services? If Telco, then what's the Icon of your Telco reception when you're in TTDI? H, H+, or 4G LTE?

Somehow agree with you as I hop into WP7 when it was first launched and the momentum doesn't really move too much... I know the current WP8 is a good product, but it's just a 'barely good enough' product to compete with the rest... Apps has been exhaustive since day 1 and yet after 3 years it's still not ramp up... Skype recent updates of Beta testing has not included WP8 as well?! Photosynth is still missing?! and guess what as both products are from Microsoft itself... haih... I shall give it 1 more year, if not I may also jump ship to Android...

hehe... what Telco are you in at the moment? and in the Settings > Mobile Network > Highest connection speed what's the value there? put it into 3G and retest
