Guys, any of you change your battery at Nokia Care before? I suspect my wife's 2-week old L820 battery is defective as it drains about 30-40% when put in flight mode overnight. In standby mode (3G) and wifi without doing anything, it can drain about 10-15% every hour. The settings are exactly like my own L820 (except my wife has even less apps, and even more stringent data/battery/location controls). Conversely, my battery is excellent - maximum 1% drain in flight mode overnight, sometimes no drain at all.

Is the battery warranty claim hassle-free, or they need to keep the phone for some time to investigate?

Yeah, will try that too later. And just called up Nokia Care, they are willing to exchange the battery. Don't need to leave the phone there. The technician said if the problem persists, it could point to a motherboard defect.

Already replaced new battery at Nokia Care. Battery drain is still high; but will continue to perform more charging cycles for the battery to stabilize first.

My phone (Lumia 720) as problems detecting my home Unifi. Has no problems detecting and connecting to my other neighbour's hotspots though.

It occurs every few days and it's frustrating because it doesn't solve itself when i turn my modem off and on over and over again. But it somehow fixes itself overnight.

Is this some kind of settings problem that might have happened to block my phone from connecting? Or is it a hardware problem? My other devices have no problems connecting to the house wifi.

Hi,I just got my new Lumia 720 today! Really excited about the phone. I'm wondering if there's anyway I can view the status bar (showing time, battery,WiFi and stuffs) during full screen app like Facebook and IE? Having a hard time checking the time and signal strength while using the apps. The status bar just go disappear when I enter the app. I have to quit to the live tiles screen to check the time and hop back in the app again which is kinda annoying? Some little help here please? Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks for the tip man! Yeah, it feel much FULLER without the status bar. Haha. One more question, no other way to quit all apps without spamming BACK KEY?

One thing i notice though is whatapps now appear as background task on Windows Phone 8, so now you can block whatapps running on background via settings>applications>background task.

Now battery life should be improved, since it no longer hogging the Music API to stay alive.

I sync my music with the Windows Phone App from the Windows 8 Store, no problems. (They do create folders for artists which I don't really like... I prefer all my MP3's in one folder.) I just reformatted my computer and I might try the Windows Phone Desktop app... I think that allows wireless syncing I'm not sure.
Background task is for the app to track your movement habits to give you optimized directions, it also will have a live tile displaying how many minutes to reach work etc. taking into account of traffic conditions. Personally I'm not sure how it works exactly cause I don't drive.

But in the beginning of the beta this background tasks has been known to use a lot of battery, I'm not sure if it's been fixed or not...
