hey guys,
this is the latest price of all Toshiba Centrino Duo models...hopefully available in all stores right now. biggrin.gif

SATELLITE
A100-P545 = RM6,999
A100-P540 = RM4,999

M100-P345 = RM5,999
M100-P340 = RM4,999

TECRA
A6-P3401 = RM6,999
M5-P2301 = RM7,999

for more info - http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/

personally, i prefer Tecra A6 than others but it's just kinda pricey. sweat.gif tongue.gif
as for the high range M100 & A100 come with the harmon kardon speakers with SRS TruSurround Sound.
i wonder how great is the enhancement that been built-in to the speakers. laugh.gif

P/S: is there anyone going to get any that listed above? doh.gif thumbup.gif

My friend and his collegues will doubt on this.
They are working in Teledynamic.
According to them, Toshiba notebook = High price + low specs + lousy support.

I'm not against Toshiba. I'm using one of them. tongue.gif
For me, performance just so so. Nothing amazing and magical.
Yape, mine one harddisk is gone within 2 years.
But, I'm a heavy user. It may coz any harddisk in any lappies shorter lifespan.

I think they will be impacted by acer or dell as its lappies' s price is way high above with the same specs. And then, buying lappies become a trend among undergraduates without any income. But, they have good parents. laugh.gif
I can't really believe they are offering 256MB RAM in a RM 5k latest lappies. doh.gif

Going to change to other lousy brands to test how really lousy is the quality unless get a very good discount from Toshiba. tongue.gif
Any promotion? drool.gif

Anyway.... myself also a Toshiba user, with this new one...I can really feel the drop in quality. The hinges do not have the solid feel of the older Satellites any more. I find the CSV screen good in low and moderate lighting conditions but in high light conditions can get quite a lot of reflection.

And as you see with the latest L-series...the Satellite has even lost it's classic design and look.

Will tell more if requested... but that's all for now.

i agree with project-o, toshiba is starting to come into malaysia market at year 2005, any they slash their price to compete with other brand.... while slashing their price, they maintain the profit margin, so what u will get?
