for stepdown you need those that selling at least for rm140 - 500w lah. another cheaper solution buy PC power supply then mod it... pm bro metalgrindsolid. he's using a PC power supply.

The power brick at GH is around RM 160. Not much difference IMO. But yeah, a modded PC power supply should be way cheaper.

I prefer step down actually since there will be another stuff I can use it for since I brother brought a lot of stuff from the US. most of them able to use 110-240v but some still need adapter.

BTW, can somebody who use stepdown list the brand and the price here. hopefully there are reliable one out there and cheap enough.

Modding with PSU is out of option since my brother will be using the xbox in US later on.

I plan to get a Xbox 360 Japan console. Do I really need a step down power transform for it? How much is step down tranform? Else I will get a asian version of Xbox 360.

A "ChampaLang" Brand (Means Some China Brand) 500W will set you at RM 100 - RM 150.

Branded ones like (EKK, Teltron) and others (forgot some brand) set you at RM 200 - RM 600

I remember I bought my stepdown when the first ps3 arrive (in the end without using it ) for RM 400 (2000w tops!)

and yes, you have to use the stepdown for japanese set.

Yea I'm thinking of exactly the same thing. Unless, you're really concerned about the heat it generates. Just curious, how much really does the power brick cost in Malaysia? I'm in the US actually, planning to bring home an Xbox 360.
