i will frankly say...if u r a light foot person, u can feel d firestorm effect...
if terus hentam throttle to the floor...when d rpm rise fast, after exceed 3.5k rpm, u cant feel d difference...
jasonloh7906 try lightfoot city drive la...try it with n without firestorm,perhaps u can feel d different...i will say around 1.8k rpm - 2.5k rpm...
*
Yup. I understand. I always lightfoot city drive ah. The feeling is a bit better than or somehow similiar to the feel I get when I changed to Iridium plug.
haha~~it do increase the power thoughout the powerband, not to say that exceed 3.5k rpm can't feel lah, maybe not that obvious. because my car is much more older and weared, it is obvious in high rpm also. less vibration. I think if now I remove the firestorm then confirm can feel.
why you no buy? good wor.

haiz, maybe that's why they dunno my feeling XD

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Jan 22 2013, 10:05 AM)
hmm.gif Nope. Wrong. I dun have all of those and I think only jasonloh from here have Firestorm installed.
*
hmm, sounds like only me that is willing to spend money for the tube XD

QUOTE(NINJIAO @ Jan 22 2013, 11:55 AM)
Somehow I dont really trust this firestorm from the customer feedback and reply he gave

Customer say after install firestorm, same rpm but instead of doin 120km/h before FS, after FS speed was 140km/h.

I just can't convince myself to buy it although got many outstanding review about firestorm.

My post at #227 onward
*
the possibility is quite less, however he is driving FLX where CVT make it possible. IINM, FLX at 110km/h rpm can go as low as 2.5k? not really confirm but u can know at saga thread. but if u tot of using firestorm to change that, I think is too marginal. Driving depends on right foot mah. sometimes, my car 3k rpm is almost 120km/h, sometimes at 100km/h only.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jan 22 2013, 01:23 PM)
I got soft whirring sound from steering when turning, just like those robotic part moving, whrrrrrr whrrrrrr.. from behing the steering whenever I turn the steering nowadays.

Is that normal (although I'm sure its not there before) or something gonna go?

1.5 years old. Tak da nampak any steering fluid in the servicing schedule anywhere.
*
a lot of people had this sound. mine is steering wheel rubbing I think. don't think is a big deal. last time wira also got this problem.
some might be steering rack, some might be power steering fluid.

ohh, it is still on 4th gear but feel like it is on 3rd gear. could it be it lower the engine noise thats why customer feel it is at 4thgear instead of 3rd? since 3rd gear quite noisy.  laugh.gif
Hmm but he is putting it in harrier i think. Hmm I think harrier is still using normal torque converter auto trans kot. But the explaination on cvt does make a lot sense since CVT dont have any gears.  thumbup.gif

"After fill out 3-4 time petrol on my Harrier 2.4L

1. Mileage increase 20-50km depends my speed.
2. 3000rpm 120km/h after installed same rpm but 140km/h speed
3. After done some sound insulation after installed Firestorm, my car feel alot more quiet."

hmm.gif
*
the feel like 3rd gear but still on 4th gear quote by zeng is proton feature I suppose. or rather is persona feature. When our car crusing lets say at 80km/h at 2k rpm, when you press harder to have a bit more power, the rpm will rise by quite a lot, louder also but u will see at the different rpm u have same speed. coz for some car u step harder either they drop gear or their car just accelerate steadily.
Look at the quote below by mengsuan, its also logical.
I do have the firestorm installed. Like said, it makes the spark 5 times stronger, where fuel are burned more efficiently. My car do become more quiet.
The car have less vibration also. FC wise I can't say much, my FC is never as good as others. PE have better FC than the old version. Power wise, smoother. As people will say, proton engine noisy and rough. now no more this problem.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jan 22 2013, 02:03 PM)
Difficult to judge the RPM because when accelerator is let loose, yet cruising at 140km/h, the RPM will drop.

Chances are, less effort is required to maintain 140km/h

Hmmm if press harder it not change to lower gear keh? haha i always though my car switch to lower gear. Hmm but seems like the firestorm does make some difference ya. hehe maybe i should start saving again for Firestorm.  laugh.gif

but stronger spark does make a difference. I still remember alfa came out with twin spark. huhu that time was da bomb. not sure why they scrap that design.  sad.gif
*
depends on your throttle level. When reach certain level, it will drop gear. u can know the difference lah, if u press harder not drop gear, the rpm rise lesser compared to drop gear.
yup, more spark is better. my dad volvo also twin spark. but then, is not cheap to change the spark plug.
can look for V12kompressor he will give u bulk price.

if mintye is around Rm60-70 per side.
If bosch then need Rm100+ i think. but if Rm150 can get high performance pad edi.

Ah sorry for the confusion. Mine is RM150 for a pair (Left and Right). I guess it's a standard or lowest end version? hahaha.

One more thing! I noticed tables in my service booklet show that our cars only need to be serviced once every 10k km. Is that correct? I had been doing 5k km service....  doh.gif
*
nope. is considered the best brake pad(the highest price) they can give u edi.
our car should be serviced every 5k km for better protection unless u use fully synthetic engine oil.
Based on minyak man statement which we all do agree is that, if u really wanna use fully synthetic oil it is at least recommended to change the oil filter at 5k km.
the best is if u have money, use fully synthetic and service every 5k km.

btw, the brake pad is expensive somehow.
Not sure how good it is. but then, Rm150 can get me 2 brake pad, left and right for both front and rear.
