I own an iPad3 and I played with a Mini at Senheng last night. Since I surf the web quite a bit on my iPad and also read loads of text (emags, RSS, twitter, facebook) on it, the non-retina of the Mini is very noticeable and something I don't like. Text is all fuzzy, but a bit better than on the iPad2 though.

The things I liked about the Mini - it's high-quality, bloody light, thin and easy to hold with one hand, much better than all the Samsung Tabs (7 and 10+) I tried at the shop.

I will wait for an iPad5 and a Mini2, am hearing that the former will be thinner and lighter next year while the latter may get a bit thicker but carry a Retina display. Big one for me and the small one for my son biggrin.gif

depend your expectation, if you zoom in until you see the pixel than there are obvious differences but mini is better than ipad 2. color accuracy Ipad 4 will be better. mini has higher yellow tint like ipad 2.

I used mini more than my ipad 3rd Gen nowadays because of the weight, if Ipad mini 2 with retina comes out I'll sell out my ipad 3rd Gen to replace with mini. haha tongue.gif

Previously I'm using New Ipad which I think have marvelous display due to Retina Display. When I bought this new iPad Mini, I do noticed that the display quality quite different compare to my former iPad, the font quite blurry.

But hey.. it's not a big deal to me. I can live with it. And I don't miss my New iPad. LOL! biggrin.gif

it not sharp when reading small text, picture and video is less affected tho.

the size and weight is very nice to use, i believe most of the ipad user will appreciate it because the ipad are really big and heavy.

Owned iPad3 and iPad mini now. Doesn’t really care about the non-retina, The size and portability trump over other factor for me.

Luv it.

Previously an ipad2 owner...now an ipad mini. Ipad regular is just so big after you use ipad mini and I wouldnt mind the retina/ display. Portability is key.

Depends on your reading material. If reading LYN forum with not much text, I find it acceptable. If open those ebooks, better get Retina Screen. Of course, the mini is light as feathers.
