rclxms.gif it's a good news for me because my father is a retired MAS staff. My father said retired staff can be considered as staff but not eligible for the quited staff. So, I will send my application as soon as possible for the TAME programme.

btw, may I know when is the due date for sending application.

deto-master, I wanna ask u where do the APR trainees do their OJT?

about the rumours u mentioned, if u have confirmation about that, please tell here yeah.

and one more thing, how do you pay for the training fees? Did u get sponsorship or MARA loan?

The fee is RM60,000 so I dont want to gamble my future with this uncertainty. I got a degree in electrical, and if in a few months from now I dont get any job or called up for any interview....then after that I will probably apply for APR TAME...

Hard to get job's interview nowadays....all need experience and also stiff competition from other applicants...so that's why I'm thinking to gain some exposure by joining training like TAME....

you may apply through AirAsia, MAS or Transmile.....you have to be alert with their advertisement for the new TAME intake whether from newspaper or their websites....the minimum academic requirement for airline companies' TAME is SPM.....

there is also other option to pursue ur dream in this field but I recommended u to apply through airlines intake as for SPM holder.

the intake depends on them so that's why u have to be alert for their advertisement..... as this year the new intake for AirAsia just started their class this week......but their advertisement went out on March..... just 30 were selected for this intake; the 1st batch of 15 already start their class this week while the other 15 on January next year.....so I dont know when is the next new intake for next year..... so u have to check it out regularly on their web or in the newspaper...

the TAME is a 5-year programme consists of class and on-job-training (OJT)...
no worry just go for ur NS first because u still young, got many years to try apply for this programme......

yeah, so limited place.....so u have to compete with other applicants during the selection process..... just give it a try even though only a SPM holder....no harm trying as the minimum requirement is SPM .....if u have been called 4 interview/selectiorn process, just do ur best and show ur enthusiasm in aviation world..... most of the trainees now are also SPM holders....

if u are selected for AirAsia/MAS/Transmile TAME, the companies will support the fees....but u have to prepare to sign agreement with them because after graduating this programme, you are bonded with them for a certain period of time....

For the 1st sem's OJT, we are going for 2 and half months starting from 7 Jan 2008 according to the given schedule and from what I know maybe at SAS, Subang Airport....
