I'm not a very good tanker, but I think I can be excluded from the "noob" rank.

In fact, I rarely survive a face to face brawl, that's why I choose to go full time flanker. Here's what I do for my game, maybe it helps, or maybe you guys can give a few tips to improve my game.
Early game (0~3 mins)
-Don't rush
-Don't go any direction alone, if my team's mostly going one direction, I either follow them (in flanking position, not behind them) or I stay at base, behind a bush/rock and try to defend/snipe any enemy tanks coming the other way.
-look for rushers, aim in their direction and have some shots at the tanks they spot (before they die

), sometimes the rushers happen to stay alive longer and I can snipe 1~3 tanks to death early game.
Mid game (4~10 mins)
-if I'm lower tier tank in the game, I usually hide at a good position possibly behind a bush and snipe away at any high tier enemies with their sides and asses faced towards me. Sometimes I may scout too, if I'm confident with the map like Malinovka etc. along line 3 (the slope along the line 2 lane, I find that it's quite hard for enemy tanks to shoot me there.
-if I'm the top tier in the game, I still camp and let others do the scouting for me. Usually the (brainless) ELCs with do the job, after taking out 1~2 tanks in my direction, I will push.
Late game (11~15 minutes) (Usually I'm dead already by this time, but if not

)
-I look at what the other tanks are doing, if they're attacking, I'll defend, if they're defending, I'll push. If I'm alone, I defend base.
FYI, I'm using VK36.01H with konish, nt the best dmg but decent ROF and pene. I can deal an average of 1k dmg per round.

vk3601H can play like heavy if on top tier, the armor is better than kv-1

Well, the play style depends on the map and tank you're using. Of course it is never a set condition that we play in. So adapt to the conditions properly. The VK series are amazing support tanks. Let the heavies buff damage, and you snipe from far. It's amazing that way. One point to consider when playing is that they can't all shoot you at once. That is the problem with most players. No one wants to get shot first, or no one wants to get damaged at all. The heavies that do these things shouldn't play heavies in the first place and should consider getting tank destroyers instead. Heavies are not made for damage output but for damage buffers.
For scouts, don't suicide. Ever. Of course there will be those that get lucky (or just pro) and will hit you even if you swerve and dodge properly. But staying passive and taking few cheap shots is the proper way to play. Scout to get a general idea of where the enemies are and keep doing it so your team can get into the proper positions.
If anyone wants to plat with me, just look me up

ChronoStratos
that really really depend, but pass few days, i keep team with heavies that all camping at back, whole team's heavies camping, and sniping
