I assume my application for MaybanKards 2 Cards was successful since it is now showing on my M2U. I submitted my application through email, but receive no calls from them.

By the way, anyone here using Amex for Prudential auto debit? If yes, also 5x TP right?

Thanks.

You tried to pay more than outstanding bill. I'm quite sure your outstanding bill is lesser than RM 300. smile.gif
*
Curious why they don't allow to pay extra.

I tried with CIMB and UOB before, both allowed.

for AMEX, its always 5X TP

FYI.

QUOTE
Effective 1st January 2013 - All transactions relating to government, insurance and education will only earn 2X TP with the Maybankard 2 American Express This means our assessments bills in 2013 will only earn us 2X Treats Points with the Maybankard 2 AMEX But if we plan properly, we still can earn 5% cash back on weekends

Hi all, been following the thread of the Maybank 2 cards, which really raised my interest to apply one.
Before I proceed for application, got some fundamental question need to ask the fellow user here (I still can't find the firm answer eventhough so many pages).

1) For the 5% weekend spending cash back, it's only apply for Amex, right? Not the 2nd card (master/visa)?
2) Is the 5% cash back specific on any category or no specification at all?
3) For the earned TP, is they any expiring date?

Thanks.
*
1) Yes
2) All transactions relating to government, insurance and education will only earn 2X TP with the Maybankard 2 American Express (as posted on first post)
3) No idea. Other forummers to clarify.

Any GST impose on your MC/Visa? If not, it might comes late. If yes, does it waive off just like Amex?

Normally, GST is imposed on either your MC or Visa, and Amex GST will be waived.

Bear in mind OCBC TI has cash rebates threshold at RM50 per month. You can't get RM100 in single card/ month.
*
True.

So hit the threshold of RM50, then anything after that goes by Amex.

where exactly are you addressing the 1% Amex rebate...
there is no such thing as 1% rebate for Amex. only ocbc has 1% rebate.

and rebate for both ocbc and Amex is capped at rm50 a month. you won't get rm100.
*
I think sj0217 is right.

I'm the one that confuse in between Amex and OCBC TI. Sorry for all the confusion and misleading information.
