QUOTE(BRY7 @ Jan 2 2013, 12:42 AM) i purchased GSC tickets with my Amex over the counter yesterday and realized the cashier looking at the part where the CVV was located (above Amex Logo) when he placed the card to the card terminal. are you going to request new card each time the cashier look at the card? i immediately called maybank to report the situation and now the card is being monitored. have to drop by 1U tomorrow to request an application to change new card if like this then i suggest u should cancel the card or only use it for online transaction.. the cashier suppose to look at the Amex logo and signature at the back..to see whether the card is real or not.. sadly, this is not practise in malaysia..all the cashier just swipe without looking on the card and signature.. |

since there is so many fraud case on AMEX..
i am starting to wondering whether this is maybank doing to avoid paying the 3mil cashback campaign recently.. once fraud case detected, bank issued new card with new number but we already register the campaign with the old number... surely they would not have any record for the new card and disqualify for the cashback |

QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Mar 11 2013, 02:53 PM) wanted to sign up this card.. but with all the fraud case happening to this card.. is it still advisable? how does this fraud case happen... it is by random or due to some online transaction through some untrusted merchant? all this fraud usually happen for amex and it is online transaction..if u worry about this..just de-activate the online transaction for this card.. then there will be slim chance for fraud to happen |
