Yes..I get it sharp in 1 hour at Maybank Card Center at 1U on Saturday.. 

Fill in the application form and submit your necessary documents..then just wait for them to call you 

i got mine in 2 hours time at klcc.
they said they got bug in their system that time, so they cant process the application in one hour 

There are many possibility, sometime is the agent do not provide sufficient information which caused the problem.
Maybe u can try to apply through fax. Got mine through fax application. 

Rejection can be due to many reasons, income is not the only reason.

Actually if you're a smart user, it's your loss not theirs. No other card gives this benefit. Use wisely and you earn more from them than they earn from you (ideally they earn 0 interest and only the 3-4% fee from merchant for amex).

Nothing much you can do of course, but rasa tersinggung doesn't benefit customer =)

Try call up MBB CS to appeal and they might call you to check/re-submit any necessary docs. Or perhaps you have too many CC / loans / or payment delay / etc.

Otherwise, just move on with life, and retry again in 6 months. This MBB-2-Amex card is really the best currently, in my opinion.

Just to share:
My first CC to apply Citibank was also rejected, and immediate application to MBB was approved. No ill feelings, but later when Citibank offer me pre-approved CC via telephone, I declined it 

Same with HSBC later after that, I applied CC at that time, using my salary slip, which matches my salary in the account every month. I was rejected. Few months later, they also send me pre-approved CC, I also declined it at that time 

Just try appeal, otherwise, retry again in 6 months. In the meantime, move on with life 

Your low income dude may be referring to me, i got this card while i could not meet the income requirement. Mbb is money face, you put few k fd in their bank, you will have better chance, heard it from branch staff.

@hye I'm the one who said should let small fry go. For me, I'd rather the merchant keep list price low than charge everyone a higher price that they MAY lower if you pay with cash. Personal preference.

Of course, got legal requirement, but if otherwise I'm happy with the shop and the service I get I personally won't complain. Maybe this is called 3rd-world mentality =p

Airasia RM10 surcharge for me is bodoh. Can't believe noone report before, and if people got report before but no action on Airasia then why let the CC company bully small shop?

hi wan to ask a question here, my annual income roughly around 26K but with the allowance and claim could reach more than 30K, so can i apply for maybank 2 card?

actually is the maybank marketing CS call me up on last month, and offered the application for MBB 2card for me without asking the payslip etc (cuz all my salary and allowance go into my maybank saving account), so now still no news on that application, not sure there review or reject the application .

More than a month since I made FD to get this card - they lost my first application - apparently will be finished by this week finally.

When I applied for HSBC Premier card it only took a few days - this process has been really slow

This is the only other card I've applied to in Malaysia so didn't have anything else to compare it to in Malaysia.

Although after having some (limited) experience with Maybank for companies / M2E I wasn't overly suprised

Far as I know you need to deposit as much as you want your limit to be 1:1, don't see why 10K would be an issue ..
