Yes..I get it sharp in 1 hour at Maybank Card Center at 1U on Saturday..  laugh.gif

Ok.

You filled your paper on the spot or beforehand?

I think I'll take the KLCC branch. Closer to me and during lunchtime, I can escape there a bit before heading back to reality.

Besides, during lunch time, people would be wrestling for food, not lining up for CC tongue.gif

There are many possibility, sometime is the agent do not provide sufficient information which caused the problem.
Maybe u can try to apply through fax. Got mine through fax application.  biggrin.gif

Went through KLCC branch for the 60 min thingy.

Was a bit disappointed when it was rejected.

Careful enough to double check already. Plus no reason is given.

Not really a big deal, just gonna apply another bank's and snub them when they come again laugh.gif

Their lost, at the end of the day laugh.gif

Rejection can be due to many reasons, income is not the only reason. smile.gif

As i said, it's a small matter smile.gif

Just wanted the MBB to complete a small collection of mine. If can't get, no issue also as I do have another few more. icon_rolleyes.gif

Can always go for another bank that has no qualms in approving my card application laugh.gif

Just saying that no reason is kinda lame to treat a long standing customer, that's all.

Have a nice day then laugh.gif

Actually if you're a smart user, it's your loss not theirs. No other card gives this benefit. Use wisely and you earn more from them than they earn from you (ideally they earn 0 interest and only the 3-4% fee from merchant for amex).

Nothing much you can do of course, but rasa tersinggung doesn't benefit customer =)
*
Haha. It matters not really la.

If can't, nvm la. There's always another biggrin.gif

It's not like you can save 1000 bucks anyways. I can always go for another option that works as well smile.gif

Try call up MBB CS to appeal and they might call you to check/re-submit any necessary docs. Or perhaps you have too many CC / loans / or payment delay / etc.

Otherwise, just move on with life, and retry again in 6 months. This MBB-2-Amex card is really the best currently, in my opinion.

Just to share:
My first CC to apply Citibank was also rejected, and immediate application to MBB was approved. No ill feelings, but later when Citibank offer me pre-approved CC via telephone, I declined it  tongue.gif

Same with HSBC later after that, I applied CC at that time, using my salary slip, which matches my salary in the account every month. I was rejected. Few months later, they also send me pre-approved CC, I also declined it at that time  tongue.gif

Just try appeal, otherwise, retry again in 6 months. In the meantime, move on with life  icon_rolleyes.gif

Lol. Clean slate. Got no outstanding loan, no payment delay ( except for my Digi coz I hate them laugh.gif )

No worries la, I already raised a call to them and they already tell me they will reconsider.

Besides, I know plenty of dudes with lower salary who got the 2 card so I don't really see a reason why laugh.gif

Just gonna chill, and use my another card till then. nod.gif

Thanks biggrin.gif

Your low income dude may be referring to me, i got this card while i could not meet the income requirement. Mbb is money face, you put few k fd in their bank, you will have better chance, heard it from branch staff.
*
Lolz, not referring to anyone in particular. But some of my fren earning 1,7k even can get the 2 card. Bad thing thou, seeing how they are struggling with debt now.

Besides, you passed your ACCA IIRC, should be a better prospect for MBB tongue.gif

That's why I say, not really an issue.

Can't means small matter also smile.gif

Staff pay the surcharge? What nonsense is this?
*
Likely the punishment for the staff coz he/she did not charge the fellow above the surcharges.

Tbh la, surcharges all this, very hard to argue one.

Have reported tonnes of merchants for charging, so far most of them are still alive even after multiple reports.

Can't say I blame the banks nor our Gomen.

When the policy is good but there's no implementations, things becomes crappy.

Anyone reported AirAsia before? Shouldn't even need evidence.

@hye I'm the one who said should let small fry go. For me, I'd rather the merchant keep list price low than charge everyone a higher price that they MAY lower if you pay with cash. Personal preference.

Of course, got legal requirement, but if otherwise I'm happy with the shop and the service I get I personally won't complain. Maybe this is called 3rd-world mentality =p

Airasia RM10 surcharge for me is bodoh. Can't believe noone report before, and if people got report before but no action on Airasia then why let the CC company bully small shop?
*
Don't worry. I share your 3rd world mentality. laugh.gif

If the place pleases me, I would pay as well laugh.gif

I wont mind a little surcharge, like rm 0,50 or rm 1 for 1000 bucks worth of transaction la.

But even few dollars wanna charge, a bit rclxub.gif

Should be fast if you fill your forms beforehand.

Took roughly 60 min only to get it approved, if its approved by the branch la.

did they give u a reason?

it seems MBB2 card is getting harder to apply this days...
*
After they simply issue last year around, won't be surprised if they start tightening QC back.

A lot of people below the income requirement in my peers got the 2 card, and most of them are still in debt laugh.gif

Maybe Maybank is bored of giving loans tongue.gif

hi wan to ask a question here, my annual income roughly around 26K but with the allowance and claim could reach more than 30K, so can i apply for maybank 2 card?
*
If your annual income is not around or above MYR 30k, it's a little hard to be approved tbh.

But then again, Mbb is well known to let people below the income requirement to have the card so you might as well try your luck biggrin.gif

actually is the maybank marketing CS call me up on last month, and offered the application for MBB 2card for me without asking the payslip etc (cuz all my salary and allowance go into my maybank saving account), so now still no news on that application, not sure there review or reject the application . hmm.gif
*
Should've call in and inquire politely then.

Should be no harm asking.

More than a month since I made FD to get this card - they lost my first application - apparently will be finished by this week finally.

When I applied for HSBC Premier card it only took a few days - this process has been really slow sad.gif

Just curious, how much did you commit? icon_rolleyes.gif

If its private, can pm me. Thanks man.

This is the only other card I've applied to in Malaysia so didn't have anything else to compare it to in Malaysia.

Although after having some (limited) experience with Maybank for companies / M2E I wasn't overly suprised  rclxms.gif
I posted it earlier in the thread somewhere .. RM20K deposit for RM20K CL
*
Lolz..

Then I should follow your footsteps and deposit a small amount to secure another CC from Mbb then.

Would 10k do for a 10k limit? I don't really need a huge limit anyways laugh.gif

Far as I know you need to deposit as much as you want your limit to be 1:1, don't see why 10K would be an issue ..

Alright bro. Thanks a bunch. Time to head down the bank 2morrow then.
