I have same experience with you last time as well. Mine is upon card expiry and they send the new card to penang branch. I was like... wtf send to penang and it was due to my saving and card was applied over there. Request to send to KL took around 1 month to arrive my hand.

Should be no problem. Platinum aint hard to get nowadays. Best if you could include EFP EA or income tax return with receipt. MBB , Citi , HSBC and a few more are " harder " to get with just payslip and bank statement.

Just a phone call to cs and ask for detail. Usually there is processing fee even thou written 0%.
