may i know why amazon declined my amex card? i believe i still have the credit as i cleared my statement for this month. it said:

We're writing to let you know the payment for order has been declined. We're having trouble completing the payment for the above order. The issuing bank may have declined the charge if the name, expiration date, or ZIP Code you entered at Amazon.com does not exactly match the bank's information. Valid payment information must be received within 2 days, otherwise your order will be canceled.*

but i already keyed in the billing add everything same

sometimes, let's say i swipe around 9pm ish, then i get the transaction posted 2 days later, sometimes the next day.. any idea normally after what time, transaction is calculated as 2 days later?

cause wanna do bill payment, normally shops close at 10pm, so if i pay around 9.30, also might risk myself clearing the entire bill by this month

sometimes very random i would say, if use visa confirm is 2 days later lol.. but amex wise, hard to say

guys, is there any policy for our maybankard 2. Got somebody called me, explain to send the policy just to avoid fraud. She has my full name, expired date and also first 8 digit no. of my card (VISA).
She keep asking to declared the complete no. of the card, but I keep asking another questions until she get mad and hang up. Haha
Any ideas?? Should I report to maybank?

Just purchased MAS tickets for friends and noticed the following statement after receiving the e-ticket:



I have called & emailed them regarding this issue as my friends will be flying from KL while I was just helping them to purchased the tickets.

Below is the reply I got:
Please be informed that for online booking using third party credit card will required for verification. If you unable to provide them those documents, alternatively you may scan and email us the copy of credit card front page and copy of IC/Passport for us to verify at  our end. We will update into the booking that we have verify and passenger not required to provide those documents anymore.

Failure to verify those documents  will be denied boarding.

My questions:
Do I really need scan my CC front page with IC for verification? During the ticket checkout I have already entered all my details & billing address.

How secure if all my CC details & IC being sent over to them? By the way, I used AMEX for the transaction.

I place my billing address when doing the payment but passenger is my friends name. Why do they need verification even though I have made a call to MAS to inform them about this? 

Just out of curiosity, does this happened to other airlines? I do remember AA, CX doesn't have this kind of ruling!

Its different limit if one of them card is islamic.

we all know that AMEX is  a bit poor when it comes to currency exchange compare to VISA or MC ... Do you guys know how much AMEX, MC, VISA charge if we are buying in USD? Where to check the rate?

No, only posting date is relevance for 5% cash back.
Seem we don't have much control over this. But, usually, large merchant posted in the same day as transaction.

When we a regular at one merchant, we can already predict their posting day.
For example, a Petronas near my home will post a day after the transaction. To be able to get the rebate, I pump my car either on Friday or Saturday.

what do u mean  by this? transaction only on 1st/2nd week is it?

I emailed them yesterday, telling them I would like to go to KLCC and apply there instead because I need the cards urgently. They replied saying that it is already in process and will expedite. Today I can already see the cards in my Maybank2u.

Hopefully I'll get the actual cards soon, I'm going to Perth next week (the only reason I need this card, I don't have any, been using my wife's as supp before).
