If it is online transaction, should have notification. If t is not, not necessary sms will come in
*
No, i have set and confirmed with maybank that the SMS alert will be triggered for ALL transactions expect recurring ones. This is over the counter transactions by the way. Well, just hope the transactions are not posted whistling.gif

Wish you all the best then!!!
For AMEX, do give it a few more days to get "posted". Was it a large amount swipe ?
*
Aeon usually very efficient one. Too bad, both combined less than RM100 lol

The 2 transactions have been posted at M2U, no sms alert after 2 days. My transaction today did not trigger SMS alert as well, so it is 3 times in a row. A formal complain has been forwarded to Maybank and cc to Bank Negara, for the 3rd times since the policy.

Made another 5 transactions at aeon all without SMS, so I called CS.

They are having problem with the telcos, affecting certain customers. ETA to rectify the problem is 6-Feb.

i submitted more documents than when applying for uob and ocbc. even gave bank statements for prove. at 1U the person said because i have a car loan. for the online application, the telesales person kept asking whether i have any banking facility with maybank, which i dont. n then later rejected too. do i really need to have an account or loan with maybank for them to approve?
*
Dont think so. I dont have any association with MBB before getting their cards.

i just found out from CS that there is RM50 penalty for card replacement that require to change card number, like due lost or stolen.

FOC for replacement card with same card number due to chipset / problem to detect it.
*
is the RM50 penalty to the bank or GST for new number? could be due to GST because for lost or stolen, you will be issued a new number for obvious reason.

Is a fee. This fee is stated in your T&C. Statement will state it as "Card Replacement Fee".
Card renewal fees is free but for change of card / card lost or stolen, this fee will be imposed. Don't be too quick to bash the bank, other banks have similar practices too like UOB.
*
Thank you for the info. i didnt bash the bank, was trying to ascertain if the RM50 is the GST by gov instead smile.gif

Hello guys, wanted to double confirm with u guys

if I pay the minimum RM50 payment on or before payment due date

I won't be charged for interest?
*
Let me put it this way. If you only pay the minimum RM50 and the due date is up, you will be charged.

so the only way to avoid interest is to pay the amount in statement balance

am I right?  smile.gif
*
You, correct. Statement balance.

Do note that the monthly cashback can be used to offset it too.

Thanks for the reminder
I've always pay days before due date
I even set reminder on my calendar each month  biggrin.gif
however if I'm certain I will be getting maximum cash rebate
can I pay the total amount - RM50  without afraid of being charged interest?
as my due date is 26th but I heard rebate is usually 1s or 2nd of the next month
*
Dont include the cash rebate of the following month. If you do this, it is considered after the due date already.

If you wanna use it to offset, use the cash rebate of the previous month.

Looking at your due date which is at the end of the month, I would just pay according to the statement balance. Any cash rebate will go into the following statement. smile.gif

Dont think it is communication problem. Give CS a call and inquire if you wish to find out more.

Just asking for the TP points, does the system calculate the last 2 decimal means RMX.00?

I calculate not sure how they calculate.....
*
From my own calculation, yes. The decimals will be added up, give and take 2TP.

I am not sure whether they will add up the decimals or round up/down, but in excel, the total TPs have been quite accurate (+/- 2 TP) biggrin.gif
