hi all !! I just got my new maybankard2platinum.

i am curious, the credit limit normally is 2-3x of our monthly salary right? but mine is only 1x my monthly salary.. which is weird.. anyone of u guys have the credit limit same amount as your monthly salary?

is it possible to request to increase the limit?

thanks !
*
Maybe the bank just need to gauge your record first. Submit the CL increase form and attach your income documents again if you want.

I am not sure if anyone experience it. Those which never maximise the RM50 monthly rebates will short 1c.  hmm.gif

i always encounter this but it may be due to rounding up.

How can I opt in for the paper statement? any extra fee?
*
Call up CS to ask when in your statement date, or you can check from M2U too.
I opt for paper statement. No extra charge smile.gif

Just noted that I was credited with another RM9.20 for "RM3 Million Cash Back" on 3 May 2013. Thus I got the full RM242 cash back for total eligible spending of RM1613.40, the last transaction at Parkson on 28 Jan 2013.
*
Yupe, I was told there is one more payout batch on the 3rd.

for applying mbb 2 card. on the latest 3 mth salary slip, will they accept 1 salary slip prior to increment and 2 after increment? eg. 1. rm2.3k, 2&3 - rm3k.  hmm.gif
*
They may or may not. In my case with Citibank, the agent told me to attach the letter from employer about the increment. I just waited for another month, simple.

btw, is there any procedure/requirement/activation to do 1st if wanted to use the CC at other country?
*
For overseas usage, it is always a good idea to call up the CS and inform them about your trip. They will ask you which country, travelling period and you contact no. Always advisable to do so, to avoid problems while making transaction (if any).

guys, yesterday I go dine in at Kenny Rogers and I paid using Amex. They a bit late settling my bill and when they came to get my signature they said sorry for the late because using Amex on weekend got 10% discount.

Just now, when I check my transactions, I notice they charged me 2 times, 1 with no discount and other with the 10% discount.

what should I do now? just wait for the no discount charge to be credited back to me or call Maybank?

Thanks!

both already posted at M2U? call CS, you may need to file a dispute.

I planning to purchase a RM2k laptop with it, will i be rebated with the RM50 cap straightaway for this month? And will the shops charge me for the bank interests and is this legal for them?
You can report to the bank if you can provide evidence that they transfer the interest to you.

Anyway, it is up to you. Some might just relent as they are okay to have the 5% and 5TP to cover the extra charge.

Most of the shop did that. And on every transaction.
How can we report to bank ? unsure.gif
*
That's why most shops are able to get away with it as the receipt will just show the final amount. Also maybe because consumers are not aware of their rights.

For me, if the price is truly amazing, then I will relent too blush.gif but most of the time, I will keep insisting or just walk away.

Btw wat's the point of reporting after they already charge me.. will they reimburse back to us also? But if i gonna swipe a RM2k laptop and if their charge is 2.75%, it would be paying RM55 extra  sad.gif

By the way, i swapped my AMEX on Sunday 11.30pm night in Esso.. now i checked my M2U statement, it's not shown for that transaction.. however i swiped another luncheon on Monday and it's already showing now.. does that mean Esso delayed their transaction back to AMEX which also means i will not enjoy the 5% weekend rebate??  hmm.gif
*
- Do you have the evidence? If not, then just consider it a lesson.

- Will receive the rebate since it was swiped on a weekend, just that the operator has yet to report the transaction.

I haven't swipe it for such transactions la.. just curious to how it's like  wink.gif
*
Then you consider whether is it worth it to pay using amex.

5x TP for RM2000 ~ RM50
on weekend, you get another RM50 provided you still have your quota
minus RM55, you only gain RM45.
but bear in mind that now, your cashback quota is already used up so other purchases during weekend will not enjoy it anymore.

but then, why let the shop 'profit'? wink.gif
