Have anyone of you guyz been to Cheras Hill/Mt? I went with some of my friends there last October and was amaze how beautiful is the water fall at the other end. I heard that they are preventing hikers now to go there because some of the people living nearby claims that they are disturbed by the noisy hikers, i dont know if its true but its so frustrating to the outdoor folks who wants to enjoy the place.

Wow! Lucky you.. By the way, how did you planned to go there? Is there a package of some sort that organizes climbs in there?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys,

Need your help here. My friends and I want to climb Gunung Nuang on March 8 and 9, but we do not have a guide. If you know someone who we could ask or hire as guide, please do let me know :-)

You guys could join us also! The more the merrier!

Thanks!

Im back at last...

How do you find Gunung Nuang? After we reached the summit, our guide said that we can challenge Kinabalu? Is this true?

Anyways how do you classify level of difficulty of a mountain? Say what level is Nuang? Irau? and Kinabalu?

Hope someone could answer my question.

Thanks!

Yeah it looks like a never ending trail..but the view while going up is awesome. But once on the summit, some trees blocks off your view. And I feel dissapointed to those so called "Mountaineers" who left their bottles of water and some plastic and other rubbish in the area... vmad.gif

What do you mean by 'GOOD MORNING'?
We need a major climb before we head to KK in October...Any suggestion?

Appreciate you help man smile.gif

Since its been raining lately, be ready to bring some anti-leech agent like detol or rubbing alcohol. Just a drop and and leeches rolls over! And if you're really afraid of leeches dont camp or stay so long at Kem Pakat, they dont call it Leech Camp for nothin.

Its really advisable to wear long pants in Nuang as trail has may shrubs and bushes that may scar your flawless legs. But still, leeches can get through pants and even socks! So girls, wear cycling pants or thights under your trekking pants :-D Just do some leech check once in while and you'll be fine.

I just advise additional pants/undies are for girls/woman :-)

Funny but, some folks doesnt get bitten by leeches at all when they go in the mountains, I wonder why....

Aside from tearproof, where could I find outdoor shops that sells good camping stove and tents? Is there a Coleman outlet/official distributor around KL?
