that's what i heard about trans titiwangsa also. a friend of mine went there during the dry period and they were having a hell of a time conserving enough water. a lot of spots which were known as water points were dry. imagine drinking two bottle cap at night for 2 night straight sweat.gif

as for tahan, i don't recommend you or anybody for that matter to go there during raining season. it's hell i tell you. we spent the whole day from sg putih camp to sg teku camp which on normal day will took you about 4 - 5 hrs hike/walk. rclxub.gif

try to avoid going there during raining season. you can't see a thing and the chill would really affect your endurance/energy/spirit.

i guess june - august would be the best period to go there.

don't worry about food or drinks there. they got a restaurant at gunting lagadan (or was it the other camp?). make sure you got enough money though! i was charged RM4.00 for a cup of hot milo doh.gif

yeah... havin a hot cup of drink at few thousand feet above sea level is indeed priceless!!!...
really remember to bring enough money... dun bring much food... just 3-4 chocolate bars... and some cereal bars...

and then... the 100plus over there is selling for 5 bucks per can... rclxub.gif

make sure when u climb, climb light... just bring around 1.5litre of water... then ENOUGH of jacket to keep u warm, then rain jacket... long pants, gloves, knitted hat...

and DO NOT CARRY SLEEPING BAG or anything unnecessary things up... they have blankets... and use ur jackets and long pants when u sleep...

remember to bring enough jacket... at least a layer of fleece and a layer of wind shield
