what thing u confuse? very simple thing there...go to warranty lookup , select ur item...in this case y400/y500...u will see Malaysia in that list...so that mean y400/y500 cover International Warranty in Malaysia.

OR Passport ? first time passport become documentation of item. no need it.
just show receipt will do..u never buy item outside malaysia? even many gadget and laptop made from oversea...

i will provide a receipt as proof of purchase.
