Im about to ask on this. Last December i bought some BD using standard shipping and its being shipped by MSI. Got tracking number and its updated until it reached the transit point or something. Got my package a week before the estimated delivery date.

Last month i ordered more BD, standard shipping, by MSI, with tracking number as well. But until today when i checked its still the same as your pic above. Waiting to be collected by courier. The date is still 10th April. My estimated delivery date is 2nd May. Now im worried about my package because no further updates frm the tracking service  sad.gif

Liquid and Andrew,

AFAIK, Amazon US dispatches through MSI and IParcel for Standard International Shipping.

MSI is a bit slower, around a month or so. Can be a little later as well so not to worry yet if it's just past your estimated delivery date. MSI does take a little longer though there may be some exceptions, especially when they sometimes provide a much earlier estimated delivery date. The tracking is not very reliable and not updated after a while. It's not the kind of tracking one expects when it's dispatched through courier.

IParcel used to be one month or so but lately they've been quick, around 2 weeks. rclxms.gif

Im a bit worried because this is the first time my parcel is late. I bought other stuffs frm Amazon as well using Standard Shipping and all arrived about a week before delivery estimation. Anyway, ive emailed customer service and they say my order is delayed a bit but have been shipped out on the 10th of April. Advised me to wait until the end of the month. If still did not receive then can only request for replacement or refund. Well......'ll wait then....hehe  tongue.gif

If it's shipped from US on 10th April, it's just 1 month. Mails to Malaysia can take up to 1½ months sometimes, so it's still OK. Let us know when you receive your anticipated parcel.

Phew my BD package from Amazon arrived at last  sweat.gif
Its one and a half month. My longest waiting record for standard shipping

Good to note of this. thumbup.gif Sometimes the mailing can take a little longer, even 2 months. But as I earlier posted, IParcel has been faster lately than MSI. 2 weeks compared to 1-1½ months.

Amazon.com Deals Calendar page:
http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=7782239011

Or, from Amazon.com front page, click Black Friday banner on top right --> Movies and TV (left bar) --> Deals Calendar

Nothing listed yet as of this posting.

Check back regularly, especially from Sunday November 23, 4 p.m. Malaysian Time for updates.

Additionally, in your Amazon account, save for later whatever you wish in your cart, and see the price change (if any, and there should be some with BF) each time you go to the Cart page. Or use the price tracker from Blu-ray.com

Happy shopping.

EST is 13hrs behind if I not mistaken

Right.

Additionally, check at the Amazon Deals page. Amazon.com made it easier this year by listing times in the local time from where ever one logs in to the site. If in Malaysia, it is Malaysia Standard Time (MST).

Previous years Amazon.com listed deal times in Pacific Standard Time (16 hours behind MST) the time zone of Seattle Washington, its headquarters.

by the way what was the issue with Region B titles, heheheh?
*
The ratings logos appearing on Region B packaging, aka nipples to some. At times, it does mar the appearance of the Blu-ray packaging. Depending on the artwork, it sometimes blends in, but at other times, it does not.

Here's a comparison of the US and UK version of Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Extended Edition Boxset and clearly you can appreciate some people's annoyance with the ratings logos.
Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Extended Edition US vs UK

This is an issue for some, example, if intending to use a boxset as a decorative item I guess and constantly looking at it that way gives an uneasy feeling, but if it's just stored in a cupboard and/or not bothered about it, then the UK or European versions sometimes do offer quite a price bargain.

you are right. well, for me not so much that i want to stare at the cover and get annoyed if there are nipples on it haha... see, if the logos are part n parcel of the product; say it's the studio's logo, or even maybe dolby or dts logo (which r related to the product) then it's all fine but the ratings logo is not & an annoyance - it's obstructive, big and somehow affect the design... y dont they follow region A ones - put at the back of the packaging! or even have the logo printed on a sticker n pasted on the plastic wrap on the packaging... that if the size is half of the cover oso i wont mind laugh.gif

the other factor is the thick & flimsy plastic casing which i dont fancy - but im not sure if uk one still using it now though...

but i guess this is just preference... to each their own; some like coffee some like tea... nod.gif

True, it's individual preference.

The UK casing is still the same and, in fact is preferred this way by some than the "thin and flimsy" (quoted from another forum) ones from the US.

There are some UK sets which do come as you suggested, i.e. the ratings logo is a sticker on the plastic wrap, which can be removed. But granted, it's difficult to find out which are the ones before purchase.

It is also the case however that UK boxsets are sometimes a very good deal compared to their US counterpart.

Nonetheless, evidently the ratings logo is a problem in the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy set highlighted previously, since it seems to be everywhere. shakehead.gif The artwork for Rome: The Complete Series is also neater on the US packaging than the UK one. And I could go on.

I'm not sure if aesthetic is a factor in pricing of the Blu-ray disc as ranger2020 suggested. But I guess there are some like you, fadthil who will pay the price for the better, cleaner artwork and packaging. biggrin.gif
