I am just stating facts .. they [AMZ] have our credit card particulars, so they can  recharge it , if they want to..
I once received a reminder of supposedly Returned ttl - If I dont return it, l will be charged the cost .. they didnt do it in the end but still the thought of them being able to..

Yeap tongue.gif That's true. Luckily never happen to me. biggrin.gif

i understand your point but if they refund the import duties to you after charge..you going to lose some on exchange rate..
some people are very particular even single cent smile.gif

Amazon actually won't charge us, as usual, they only will charge us when they about to ship our parcel. Thus, initially they include deposit for import duty is just let us know if they ship the whole order at once, how much import duty we need to pay Amazon. But in actual fact, that will probably not going to happen if this is too many pre-order titles in an order. Since it is really rare that pre-order titles will release at the same time. laugh.gif

Refund of overpayment of import duty, based on my understanding, is very rare. Only happen if there is error in computation or Amazon's information is out of date. If not mistaken, they did mentioned in their website they will refund if deposit for import duty collected is higher than actual import duty, they will refund subsequently. No sure now have they change this policy or not.

regarding the UK casing it is not really a big deal to me unlike the ratings logo but more of a space issue; u know the thinner it is, more storage space in my small cabinet... unless if it's a multi-disc then it is ok to go thicker. and in terms of the flimsiness, even some US casings like the one with the die-cut recycled logo is not that good... doh.gif

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 3D edition also used black colour die-cut recycled logo case. rclxub.gif

Review for all these 3 movies are not that good. tongue.gif

Not sure why they need to used such thick case for 3 discs only. This casing can fit 7 to 8 discs easily. shakehead.gif

No. I will give to my brother. laugh.gif He seldom buy BD.

This is 2nd time in this year, priority shipping parcel also missing. Last time, the missing disc did appeared in this end but about 1 week late. I don't know is DHL's fault or Amazon's. sweat.gif

most likely due to local DHL  whistling.gif
Singapore  DHL so good compare to Malaysia...
DHL Singapore can choose what timing slot for delivery  thumbup.gif

anyway, DHL Malaysia also not bad when delivering Apple product.. they delivery on 8.30pm and call me beforehand  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Actually is all happened in US. Both instances, the shipment only shown "shipment information received" then, no further news. You will know this parcel is missing if it stay like this for 2 days after all, this is priority shipping. Usually I will wait until 1 to 2 days before estimated delivery date, then just right love letter to Amazon CS, they response is fast one, will ask you want refund or replace. laugh.gif

The problem, I believe, is DHL staff omitted to scan that missing parcel's information into they system or totally forget to pick up that parcel. whistling.gif

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Dec 23 2014, 09:34 AM)
did you use email or use chat function?
the rules of speaking with CS, do not demand, instead act innocent and ask them how, what can be done to track your parcel tongue.gif  whistling.gif

bro low98944, dirtrun and fadthil want to share your experiences?

QUOTE(telur @ Dec 23 2014, 09:56 PM)
I used the chat function and acted quite innocent too . Lol
the cs said " i am sorry to hear that and theres nothin i could do now but i assure you that the package is on its way" she said must wait around 1 month after estimation delivery date then only proceed to replacement or refund .
*
Yeap, basically don't argue with them and just act innocent.

Try to use email only, they will usually reply with standard format answer, just like copy and paste.

Try to deal with them during 9am to 12pm our local time, during this period, your question usually answer by CS from India not US. CS from US is usually not too kind and more strictly apply the rules. Indian CS is very friendly on the other hand. laugh.gif

I am on the opposite way. when I deal with Indian CS, they would not budge and stick to SOP, while US CS will try to give me perks  whistling.gif

In my case, Indian CS is more friendly to me. tongue.gif They give me few times of free shipping (since I often use priority shipping, so free the priority shipping) as a way to compensate for my complaints. thumbup.gif

how many times

My BDs orders almost all shipped using priority shipping. Both me and Amazon can trace the parcels. So, when Amazon give me refund or replacement option, it didn't necessary mean the order really missing. It is partially because of the late delivery. After all, I paid for priority shipping and of course expect fastest delivery. Otherwise, what is the point of pay extra? Right? laugh.gif

So, some times, it is a compensation of late delivery and some time is really replacement or refund for real missing parcels which is really rare. But my last missing parcel still haven't arrive yet and already missing 2 weeks without any trace. hmm.gif
