achilles atr sports. quite noisy due to harder compound but i guess it suit our rough asphalt. can't ask for more considering the dirt cheap price. i used to buy 'em new for drift.
note: do not fooled by its tread thickness which seems never wear out forever (twr420). make sure to change after 35k km or so.

no compromise in safety.

Depends on what size u want..205/50, 215/45, 215/50...i think starting price is rm220..not sure..got one shop in Danau Kota selling at that price..U need to ask around lyn to know more..

Silverstone tyre oso cheap. I'm using one now, Atlantis v7..grip is good in wet n dry..but only one problem..noisy as heck since using dry compound rubber.

Your choice.

19x/2xx = width of tire.
middle number (45/50/55) is the thickness (tire profile)

GT Champiro HPY. Seems to have good feedback from the contributors from AW. Value for $$$ as someone put it that it perform close to 90% of a Goodyear AY2 for like 60% of the price.

Dear TS, what is your current tyre size? Are you 'upgrading' to 17 inch tyres?

Please refer to this website for guide on tyre upsizing

http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculato...sr-snt-emty-str

Also refer here on how to read tyre sidewall as it will be helpful that you know the basics

if you dont mind going China brand 'Good Ride' is damn cheap...RM200 per piece for 215/45/17...using it on my old Beemer now...seems ok...noise not much of a problem if ur car has good noise insulation.Got this from Raeang big tyre shop...has one year warraty for it...so im content for now

also used 215/40/17 Zeta brand...also China made...a tad noise but kinda cheap...used it for more than 8 mths already...

ppl are kinda afraid to use China made tyres coz of poor quality...but hey, most stuff are from China anyways nowadays

but if no budget but want good brands for cheap...the only option is to scout for used tyres...but do choose wisely

my 2 sen

Actually not really for tyre blow but some brands claim a biyt hard. But if buy from a big shop, im sure thats a small issue

Google around n you'll see that china tyres are everywhere in other countries now...some ok, some not...but surely soon theyll take over the world lol

Some china brands even have their own racing teams...dont think they will produce very low quality tyres if they intend to use them for racing ;p

But hey...your choice...choose wisely wink.gif

You want cheap, then the ATR Sport might be workable. Achilles has the new ATR Sport 2 with different tread.

You can try the Achilles dealer at Setapak (Danau Kota??). It is at the shoplots opposite the new Festival Mall. Its next to a corner mamak shop. Jalan 7/23e

If you haven't bought wheels yet, their wheels are quite well priced.

I just bought 2 ATR sports from them yesterday.

If you are looking at other brands, go to Klang.

Hope this helps.
