Silicone can be very corrosive, IF vapor/moist not pressed out before the bond. Some simple examples:

This places can never be pressing out all the vapor/moist because even if it's dried, as you switch on air-cond, cold air will condense INSIDE the roof carpet. We're talking about places we can see the rust, what about those we cant? Such as covered by the windscreen itself whistling.gif

Carmakers install demisters for a reason, I'm just a weird basket who never uses it.

I think david has already laid it out to you quite clearly, it's up to you to decide.

U got me wrong.
Forget about demister as it is rosak already.
Some part of that demister got belang2.

They said they can clean it for me and replace another tint for me for free.

1) I'm not sure whether Plotong uses something you posted. But read the caption: Sunstar glass replace adhesive meet OEM durability specifications
2) Unless they use the term, WE OEM FOR PLOTONG
3) Already told you the factory uses polyurethane. Color is regardless, its the fact that it's NOT SILICONE.

Windscreen replacement business does not like me. Whenever I educate people about factory bond, windscreen fellow will find a parang and chase after me. People will find 101 reason to argue with me replacement windscreen is as good as original factory bond, sorry to said that, not even the CEO of US Glass Association can guarantee that.

QUOTE(Leo Cyr @ Vice president National Glass Association @ Auto Glass Division, USA)
After a windshield has been repalced, there is no reliable test to determine if the replacement was done properly or safely

Belang²? Which means itu Bangla tear it hard without even heating it up rclxms.gif If the demister is important to you, then ma change windscreen lo, no other solution jor sad.gif

And to answer over and over again, FACTORY BOND meaning the car windshield was bonded FROM THE FACTORY. Any replacement outside will render stripping off anti-rust from the windshield frame. Thanks Nick for clearing it up by using the defloration concept blush.gif
