Hi there. Nice series you have there. I'm a newbie myself. I totally understand your feelings. I did my best for all the weddings I've been to but I must say outdoor wedding photography is my cup of tea. I'm struggling a bit at akad nikah session. rclxub.gif

Yes. I'm scared at first to accept the job but my friend insisted me to be her photographer. She's more comfortable with female photographer so yeah, that was a start. I'm more confident now. Akad nikah is a problem because most of akad nikah is done in masjid so the lighting is not helping. I still did not master the speedlight thing.

great photos - credits goes out to the topic starter, and also leyassi.

just some points i wanna point out - work more on composition, and also lighting. i see some great potential but that's what u guys are lacking. eye-level, rule of thirds, background n foreground, cropping, white balance, editing, there's always room for improvement.

but all and all, keep up the good work - having the passion in doing something always takes one further / gets one better. never stop learning.

have a good day guys! smile.gif

its all good smile.gif

for starters, i wud say learn alot on creating the image. if people were to ask for my opinion, i'd say COMPOSITION, LIGHTING, n MOMENT. sometimes a great photo, one dont even need alot of photoshopping on it. say a very well composed picture, the lighting is perfect, and the moment is spot on, even if its presented in B&W, people will say that the image is nice.

i see a whole lot of editing now. soften the photo, glowing effects, lots of it. but if the lighting is bad, the composition's not there, the moment's gone, no matter how complicated one edit their picture, it'll not look nice.

so a piece of advice - work alot on ur COMPOSITION, LIGHTING, n MOMENT. through the learning moment of those, u'll pickup lots of things as well..posing, BG n FG, bla bla..

means that i need to get along more with my gear, try and error and more creativity to comes out with nice picture right,in meantime alert with moments even not scripted right? RO3..i do learn it before, but when it comes to the field and while shooting sometimes i forgot,haiya.. rclxub.gif

i agree with u that if the picture being photograph with all that element that mention being into consideration,it doesn't take too much time too edit,or sometimes not even need editing,i realize that after finish 2nd weds photographing since the first one i actually first time using speedlite, very poor knowledge to adjust to it

will keep remember those element being quote, thanks thumbup.gif

Thanks. That's really an issue. That's also the reason why my friends asked me to be their official photographer. They want me to shoot when they are getting ready. Make up and all. This is a very sensitive issue. Depends on the bride actually. doh.gif

Thank you so much for the C&C. I am trying to improve. By this I mean I really work hard in learning all the basics. This should be my last wedding job because I feel like I'm not qualified to be one, but my friend insist for me to be her OP. I could not say no. So, I really hope I can be the best for her wedding.

Looking forward to enter photography class soon, if I'm still jobless by next year. icon_rolleyes.gif

i like to use 35mm 1.8f if solo

better result with those lens even in low light situations
