singapore set is exactly the same as malaysian set. both also officially unlocked. sg set more ex since knowing msia's retail price upon launching. warranty wise: sg set must be sent back to sg for warranty. perhaps apple store or telco. msia set warrantied locally, send back to telco, cos msia has no apple store. (not sure whether authorized reseller like machines wud accept warranty claims for the iPhone)

everyone wud definitely want/prefer local set. but with the current scene, i think stock availability might be an issue. not sure thou. you can try your luck.
