Guess the TP have to use for others sweat.gif
Now I'm stuck in between Enrich or Qatar's, with Qatar's, at least I'm getting free flight ticket from Doha to Dubai. But Enrich does not have an option for this. Can't select Doha also.

Anyway, decided to use Qmiles first instead of Enrich, since I still can get a free return ticket from Doha to Dubai.
Enrich's response time for any query take 1 week, this is quite bad.

I just called Malaysia airlines to check about the surcharges and taxes for KUL-London-KUL. Charges now is RM1562. As per the official the surcharge and taxes to london is change day by day...Does anyone redeem this trip before? RM1562 consider expensive or cheap? My trip depart on 18 dec 2014.
*
Is simple, just play with the system on buying the ticket with money or redeem with miles. Then see is the tax, surcharge still remain the same.

Guys, I have a doubt which i need to clarify.

I recently booked a ticket during the recent enrich promo. But the ticket doesn't state the baggage allowance.

I know certain airline wont give full baggage allowance as per normal economy or business class ticket for the award/redemption tickets.

I have booked economy on the outward sector and business on the return leg as i require more baggage allowance during my return journey.
*
What member you are in? Silver, gold or platinum?
If you are going for vacation only, I doubt you want to go beyond the "normal" maximum weight unless you are working, then yes. those extra allowance matters. Like my friend each time come back will buy lots of things as they only come back twice a year.

Business Class -2 pieces weighing 40kg in total plus 1 sports equipment with a maximum weight of 15kg free
Economy Class - 2 pieces weighing 30kg in total plus 1 sports equipment with a maximum weight of 15kg free

You can carry 4-5 luggage(air port staffs allows as told by them), but it will be tedious when you carry them. Those Middle East fellows always carry > 2 doh.gif

Yes you can use Enrich on Oneworld partners. Please google up the Enrich award chart for Oneworld redemption amounts. Cathay is one partner, alternatively there's Japan Airlines as well.

Mid november is heavy travel period though, business and first class is mostly gone and for some dates even economy class is all sold out. Best to book quickly or better still buy with cash.

Thanks for your info. You're right, the redemption rate is not attractive. Bye, bye business class ... hopefully still get to travel EVA Air deluxe class.  tongue.gif

Maybe the best is buy economy class then upgrade it.

Yes the Enrich redemption is definitely not very worthwhile for partner redemption. It's a bit retarded to charge 100k Enrich miles one way to book an economy class ticket to Europe.

I book my MH flights to AAdvantage nowadays, far more options for me for the future. At least I can redeem on Cathay or JAL first class without going crazy (67.5k miles one way to US/Europe)

And not to mention the airport tax doh.gif

Thanks bro for your info  smile.gif

Guess I should convert my credit card points now to Enrich miles so can book later.

Not really a wise step, you need to do the calculation first.

Hi Bro Gen-X

Here are the comparison I did for EM vs Krisflyer vs AsiaMiles (KUL - LHR Roundtrip business class)

Frequent FlyerMiles Required
Enrich Miles88,000
Krisflyer160,000
Asia Miles120,000
FromTo
Kuala LumpurLondon Heathrow

Conclusion : EM is more worth for our buck.

I have to agree with you. Personally, I would always take MAS whenever possible.

Halal food and the convenience of KLIA (I don't like to waste time for transits at airport.)
*
Nope, the membership card should be following our nationality. Like if I'm a Malaysian and stay in Malaysia, getting Enrich are the "best" option as most of the international flights are from MAS, unless you take others(or under 1 world).
I was stuck in between Qatar's or Enrich at that time and end up I choose Enrich as after my 1 year contract and if were to fly, I'll be flying with MAS and if were to use QPoints, it cost more.

Guys if you are on different booking for business class, you will only be assigned seat upon counter check in?

They will entertain advanced request to seat together?
*
Actually you need to tell them in advance once both of you bought the ticket. Then they can "lock" the seats for you.
Online check in you must be very fast to select the seats, else if someone select it first, just too bad I will say.

Understand your situation. Just get the 2 ticket's number and tell MAS helpline to combine the seats.

I don't approve of any commercial solicitation in any part of the credit card sections of this forum. If found, they will be acted upon swiftly and without notice.
There was an attempt for commercial solicitation by a fellow forumer and it has been acted upon.

Good move. Actually such rule shall be applied to all, not just this sub-forum only. Like insurance agents shall not trying to cheat forum readers that their policy are the "best".

I just found out that you cannot cancel an Enrich award booking and all fees paid cannot be refunded (under M.18 in the terms and conditions). They do however allow for rescheduling with a minor fee.

A bit harsh compared to most other frequent flyer programs so do keep this in mind when booking far ahead.
*
Well, most of the time is like this.
You can only get "full" refund if the fault is by them.
If pay by cash, you may use tribunal court to settle the case(<rm25000).

In the many years with my contact with Enrich, I have not come across such problems. I'm not sure why are you posting such, do you have any validated case reference that can be shared here ? (Highlight : validated case) Appreciate if you do not spam if you do not have anything concrete to share.

There's a minimal error possibility if the award booking is done at MAS office but often they will re-validate traveling information at least twice before the finalize the ticket. On the other hand, zero error possibility online coz everything is done by the customer - so if there's a mistake, it is the customer's beyond doubt. Do check everything to be in order before doing that redemption.

Not known why Enrich is so strict post redemption, readers please be sure to fly before you make that redemption.
*
Came out in newspaper few years back, in Chinapress. They go until tribunal court to settle.
