redemption tickets do not get enrich points or elite points...so if you are near a status upgrade, especially into gold, buy the ticket and get the gold status....but probably not worth if into silver....
*
If I buy a cash Y ticket and then use the paid upgrade to J that is promoted in Manage My Booking will that earn Elite Points at the J rate?

Is anyone else having issues booking Enrich Saver fares? It will sometimes show as available when scanning through days of the week but then selecting a particular day just shows the fare based points redemption which is huge.

There's something very odd going on.

If I select a return journey London > KUL and KUL > London I see Enrich Saver pricing offered and availability is quite open.

If I book with a round trip starting in KL, I get full Points prices. Even weirder is that when I select to book a one-way fare of only the return leg (e.g. London > KUL) then I DO see Enrich Saver pricing...even though that exact same flight as part of a return booking showed up at 200k Points instead of 40k.

It's as if the Enrich Saver product is not aimed at Malaysian based Enrich members? Not sure if its meant to be that way or it's a glitch.

If you check actual pricing, you get a similar pattern. Return flights from elsewhere to KUL is cheaper than starting from KUL. And transiting through KUL to a 3rd destination can be cheaper then to KUL.

*
Yes - I am aware of this - as you say it's the same across most airlines. You will find, for example, that you can fly with ANA to Los Angeles via Narita for cheaper/the same as you can fly directly to Narita.

That is not exactly what is going on here though. For one Enrich Saver is not available for connecting flights and availability of Enrich Saver is not linked to Dynamic Pricing...it seems to be a more fixed 3-4 seats per flight (in J).

When I try and book flight A and B as a return ticket I get a price of 460,000 points, when I book flight A and B as separate one way tickets I get Enrich Saver pricing for B flight so it is about 280,000 Points total. The same is not seen with the pricing available for connections you mention.

What I have found though is if you book your whole journey in reverse then you DO get Enrich Saver availability:

I now see some expected availability out of KL so maybe the system was broken when previously checking.

In general, the whole enrich system is pretty buggy, and moving from sector based redemption pricing to revenue based pricing has been disastrous for getting reasonable redemptions.
*
Their pricing is bizarre for revenue fares too, and the availability of O and Z fares for Enrich Saver redemption is so weird. Easier to get a flight in Business to Sydney or Tokyo than it is to get a redemption to Singapore on short notice (on days when expertflyer is showing 90% of seats unbooked).

Buffet offering in mas golden lounge at kul satellite terminal  is better than before but still can't get espresso martini or mimosa for breakfast sad.gif
*
Yes - in the Regional lounge recently they had the usual hot foot options with fresh pasta options as well as usual fresh noodles, lots of brownies, cakes and doughtnuts and also cheese selection which is quite rare to see at buffets except at 5 star hotels. I think the offering is pretty good now.

I'm fine with less alcohol allowance - there's already some people who don't know how to behave in public, shouting loudly amongst their group, playing their video call over the speakerphone, etc. I don't want people's inhibitions lessened further.

kinda lost on how to spend 150k enrich miles i have on hand... i haven't do a business class upgrade before with enrich miles...

Buying Economy and then doing Business Upgrade is not very attractive with MAS. Flying Business however is the best way to get the most value for your points compared to cash cost of that ticket and for me it is the most fun way to burn miles you acquired for free anyway.

You are best looking are their fixed price Enrich Saver redemption. 100k is one-way in Business to London. 108k is return ticket to Tokyo in Business.

MAS also offer partner redemptions which include OneWorld Airlines plus Emirates.

For 158,000 points you could fly Singapore to Melbourne in Emirates First Class (although this route is being cancelled shortly) which would be pretty fun with chauffeur pick-up although in the winter time this is on the 777 rather than the A380 which is the one with the shower. The cash value of this ticket is RM30k.

Mind to share how it redeem one world partner airlines using enrich?
*
So the full details are here: https://enrich.malaysiaairlines.com/enrich/...conditions.html

Then go to Redeeming Enrich Points, then down to oneworld Airlines and Airline Partner Travel Award.

The redemption rate table is here:

Partner redemptions cannot be done online so you need to call the Malaysia Airlines Call Center or visit the Ticket Offices.

All of the that is the simple part, the hard part is actually finding Reward availability. I booked Singapore to Sydney in First Class with British Airways because they have an online Reward Flight Finder search: https://www.britishairways.com/travel/fligh...n_gb?eId=100001

What you really need to do is find availability first and ask the MH staff to book it for you, they are not very experienced at finding award availability and will offer you flights that cost a million points.

There are third party services for which you can get a free trial or pay 1 month access for 10USD that will help you search for availability on other airlines like JAL or Emirates that may not have their own search.

Edit: I saw in terms and conditions that Emirates cannot be redeemed for First Class which was previously one of my suggestions flying out of Singapore.

Enrich got promotion now, 42.5k business class to Tokyo, very tempting.
There're 2 flights to Tokyo daily, anyone knows which flight will have better experience?
*
I think Tokyo redemption in business is the only reasonable use of Enrich Points these days.

Although it all got paused for now, orignally the outbound overnight MH88 and day time inbound MH89 were meant to be on the brand new A330-900neo which has the Suites style Business seat. The original start date was 1st March but you may want to push to as late as the promo allows (June?) to have a better chance.

hi all, i remember reading from email stating on every 1st day of the month and you redeem your CC points for enrich points, we will get 10% extra.

May I know until when this 'promo' ends? I somehow cant retrieve this particular email from my mail box.

"We'd like to inform you that starting 1 November 2024, our 10% Bonus Points campaign for Bank Points conversion will be temporarily discontinued until further notice. We sincerely appreciate your support and understanding."

The webpage was updated last week to remove the bonus. Pity anyone planning to convert on 1st December.

This is incorrect - you can redeem on Emirates in Business and Economy as a partner redemption - you need to do it via the phone or in a ticket office though. Note that Business redemptions are not eligible for the chauffer service.

Your previous answer to a question to someone suggesting they transfer points to someone else is also a very bad suggestion as 1) its unnecessary and 2) it costs money.

Are you a troll? If you don't know what you are talking about, feel free to not reply.

I have enrich points. Planning to go from Singapore to London. Can we use enrich points to fly Emirates. I'm planning to buy 10 tickets
*
Emirates is a partner airline and follows the same redemption table as other OW and non-OW partners:
https://enrich.malaysiaairlines.com/enrich/...s/emirates.html

SIN to DXB to LHR is 7054 miles and I believe a connection like this can be booked as a single flight in the Zone 4 bucket.

You cannot redeem for First class so you are looking at 202,000 points in Business return or 92,000 points in Economy return, plus taxes. The taxes often mean long-haul economy redemptions don't make any sense compared to buying a cash ticket.

From the Award Chart you will see the Business rate is cheaper than the Enrich Saver rate for Malaysia Airlines so these partner redemptions can make sense.

The tricky part is finding availability - this is true of any airline program and there are a number of third party services designed to help as only select ticket fares are actually redeemable for points; e.g. https://seats.aero/emirates/departing/SIN?o...Region=Anywhere

It would make sense to find availability first and then call the MAS Call center or visit the or Malaysia Airlines Ticket Offices for booking as they do not have special tools nor expertise in finding reward flight availability.

If you click the little blue question mark icon next to 'Carried Forward' does it not say that AmBank carry forward is under maintenance.

Any recent experiences redeeming that you can share?

End to end process if possible, to give a good idea on how it works and which channel is reliable.

But from what I can understand, you described the process as

1. Search for award seats (generally third party)
2. Call CS to do redemption
3. Obtain tickets & travel

Now, the first few questions that I can think of would be:

1. Do we redeem Enrich points direct? or do we need to convert to say skyward miles first?
2. If enrich points direct, the rates are essentially as reflected above?

*
I redeemed 2 tickets one-way with British Airways, Singapore to Sydney in First Class just for the experience.

I chose BA because they have a Reward Flight Finder on their website which allows you to specify any month or even 'full year availability' search and allows you to set the number of tickets you want so it was relatively easy to find some availability (if you are not picky on date): https://www.britishairways.com/travel/flightfinder/public/

Many other airlines make it quite hard to see award availability or if they do, not let you filter on 2 tickets being available for a given date. I did pay for a 1 month membership to try one of the paid services - I think it was www.seats.aero but I can't remember and it wasn't that helpful.

Once I found the specific flights I gave the dates and flight number to the MAS call center agent and they make the reservation instantly according to the table above. The only thing that is a bit unknown is how much the taxes will be. You could actually do a dummy booking for cash and in the check-out page see how much is the air fare versus how much is the tax

I think the most worthy redemption now is Kul-Nrt? 100k return in business and can sit A350 instead of 330.

*
I agree that KUL-NRT redemptions are reasonable value. Actually economy redemptions to Australia are also quite OK compared to the cash fares.

NRT is scheduled for the new A330-900 neo with its suites sliding door business class. They recieved a second frame this week and should have a 3rd by the end of next month. Redemption July onwards would be a good bet for getting the new seat although it was originally only scheduled for the overnight MH88/89

Where can i see the enrich points needed to upgrade from economy to business?

I bought economy flex tickets to sydney and would like to see how kuch points do i need for 1 way upgrade
*
Somewhere between 20,000 and 60,000 depending on your fare family (Basic or Flex) and the fare basis / RBD. Note that upgrade availability is fare class I and not all flights will have I fares still available.

Offer ended 23rd March. It was originally open until 16th and then they extended it. I got notifications in the MAS app as such. Would suggest you download the app to keep up to date with promos.
