melonlicious just highlighted at Airport Lounge Thread that Citibank PremierMiles AMEX is offering 60K Enrich Miles for new sign up.

Got to pay the RM600 annual fee and other conditions but then again with 60K Enrich Miles, can redeem Business Class one way to Milan or USA.

Go check out Citibank website for more info. Offer valid till 31 December 2013.

This offer is really good and I must thank melonlicious for highlighting it for the benefit of others (I don't think I will apply for it). I also find that this promo is so good that I had to revised/update my article on Enrich Miles and include it for more to benefit  from it. Boy, I am now promoting Citibank PremierMiles AMEX for FREE, hahaha

I saw this while flying MAS last week too. Wanted to ask - how much savings do I get if I deduct the RM600 fee, and the fuel surcharges and taxes, for a flight to Paris? I know MAS offers flights for RM2,700 or so during MATTA Fair and other promotions, so if a return trip incurs RM1,000 or so in additional charges, then it's a nett savings of RM2,700 - RM1,000 - RM600 = RM1,100? The selection of flights for award redemption might be much less desirable too?

How come when I check my flight details for a redemption done via enrich cash + miles on the MAS system, it shows up as no record found? Is anyone facing the same?

i just re-read the whole thing again

so upon paying annual fee and spending 3k on this card;

1. Card member will receive 30k premier miles
2. Convert 30k premier miles to Enrich Miles
3. MAS will add on 30k EM on above

digitalcode, i presume you already had the 30k PM and converted to EM?
*
Yup, I have the first 30k converted to enrich already. Now waiting for the other 30k. Thanks.

the Citibank TnC says "The bonus 30,000 Enrich Miles will be credited into the Eligible Cardmember’s Enrich account within forty-five (45) business days upon successful conversion of 30,000 PremierMiles into Enrich Miles."

https://www.citibank.com.my/premiermiles-am...PM_TnC_2013.pdf

Apparently Citibank's CS said this will be done by MAS and is no longer any of their business.

Then again, CS also denied 3x that this promotion existed before I pointed out it was right there on their website, magazines and newspapers. Later, the CS said the 30k points will be credited after the end of promotion period... which is 9 weeks after 30 April 2014...

I think Citi's CS a bit poor these days.

Bro, that was last year. 50% discount to Europe =  27500 Enrich Miles. If they offer 50% discount again this year, then you be able to redeem for a Business Class ticket to or from Europe  tongue.gif

Currently, if you redeem online (offer suppose to be all year round), there is a 15% discount. Therefore, we now need 46750 Enrich Miles; but, there is another way to get Business Class ticket to/from Europe with less Enrich Miles.

Once again, click here to my latest article A Little Bit Of This and A Little Bit Of That Vol.1, Chapter V where I shared the followings:

1. You can upgrade your Economy Class ticket with Malaysia Airlines to Business Class. You only need 35K Enrich Miles, i.e. that's like 36% discount (off 55K).

2. This article will show you how many Enrich Miles I used to Upgrade my son's and sister's tickets to/from Paris and the additional amount I paid. And to my surprise, I paid nothing (zero, nil, zip) in extra to upgrade my daughter's ticket from Paris to KL??!!

2. What type of ticket to purchase if you want to upgrade to Business Class and what you should do before booking your ticket.

Gen-X. I love your articles. Very helpful. I was just wondering 1 thing. Is it cheaper to book Business class directly with full Enrich miles, or is it cheaper to book Economy class, then upgrade with Enrich miles? Thanks!

Has anyone tried RocketMiles?

I think we have 3 more days to grab a bonus 3,000 Enrich Miles for using Rocketmiles. Each night's stay is an additional 1,000-5,000 miles, for any stays up to 30th June 2015.

So, if you already plan to book a hotel, using it via RocketMiles will add 18,000 miles for free.

I've been trying my luck but can't find any participating hotels. Let me know if you find any!

Guys, can i ask MAS to refund fuel surcharges for Enrich redemptions, if the paid flight no longer has this surcharge?

There are some flights on MAS that does this, where the normal tickets don't impose a fuel surcharge but the miles redemption will still have the fuel surcharge. I think that is not fair for loyal MAS customers on Enrich. Especially when most airlines have already scrapped fuel surcharges this year.

MAS terminating direct flights to Maldives as of this week. Seems like they swapped positions with AirAsia who just started direct flights. It just gets worse.

Their partnerships and promotions are where it's best to gather BIG points, e.g. spend on weekdays in Paradigm Mall and get 2 Big Points for every RM1 spent.

Fuel surcharge - it's not Enrich, it's MAS. Unlike AA, they removed surcharge only for some routes. Whether Enrich or pay yourself, you have to pay it if it's there.

generally 3,000 miles = RM100 or so if you use them on the most bang for buck routes, on promotions...

AirAsia points are about 10,000 = RM100 on the best deals.
