anyone knows when the next Enrich sale will be ? Need to burn some miles before they expire.

Say your cheapest cost RM4540 x 5 = RM22700 ... and so far I've only seen that price during promos.

22700 / 50 = RM 454. 50 because it takes 50 sectors (flights) to have Enrich Gold.

With a budget of RM454 per flight, any domestic destination is in reach. Heck, even Singapore or Bangkok is around RM350 nett if booked 1 or 2 days before. I'm sure you know Business is 2 x sector so you could actually get Gold in half the time (compared to flying domestic/regional economy) at the same cost (but some shopping around needed since not all C-class seats are always below RM1k)

Wouldn't that be easier (and cheaper, after exchange rate, accommodation etc) to get Gold ?

yes if you can book the flight via Enrich website or malaysiaairlines.com

if the flight code starts with CX then you can't use your Enrich miles.

That's right, you can't use your Enrich miles on any non-MH flight. But athlon mentioned it's a code-share, so if its bookable via Enrich or MH website then it will have a MH flight number allowing you to use your Enrich Miles assuming the booking was completed via MH's website and not CX.

MH already uses B738 for KUL-TPE which is 4h40m vs KUL-CAN 4h5m

only international flights (except to Singapore) serve alcoholic beverages. Domestic the most "expensive" drink you can get is probably the tomato juice.

it's a shame they don't serve beer / smaller selection of wine in Business on domestic ... or have it in the lounges. Even PPL has beer.

Yes, you're entitled to enter the CX Lounge. Just the ticket holder though, no guest allowed unless you have OneWorld Sapphire or Emerald


SQ doesn't allow *A members into their Suite lounges either. Guess the free flow of expensive champagne might not be able to last that long ?

It's just too bad LHR MH is in T4 while most OneWorld carriers are in T3.

CX Lounge has been my favorite in KLIA since deterioration of MH's around 2011 ?

If you're into booze, power outlets and clean toilets then I've not seen better at KLIA apart from early evening, it's also one of the quieter lounges.

PPL only has complimentary tiger, and non of the alcohol is self serve.

Yeap, that's the answer. For some reason "O" class tickets can now be topped up to regular fare ones (list of redeemable classes herehttp://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en/enri...rich-miles.html). This top up is about 20% more expensive than buying the lowest regular (MH Basic, Smart, Flex) priced fare.

what peeved me off was that I booked a lowest fare ticket (O) KUL to LHR, and bought a MH Basic (about RM700 more) for LHR to KUL as I wanted to use the Qatar Lounge. the flight is in June and the agent is telling me all redemption upgrades are already taken up for LHR to KUL including the standby list. I'm not sure if this is true or not as I'm still able to see availability for full redemption and cash+miles tickets via Enrich portal for my flight dates.

where's the best place to spend Enrich miles if not for flights ? I've a tonne expiring this month ... the last time redeem RM50 temptations voucher but near impossible to use

was looking at Enrich Hotels ... but cancellation policy isn't clear just in case my plans change.
