QUOTE(zstan @ Nov 6 2023, 09:46 AM) Do you get an email notification or you stalk the MAS website? I've never received any notification except from my CC bank once... Just missed the 20% bonus and was thinking about redeeming the 10% bonus, but if it's 2-3 times a year I would probably wait for the 20% bonus to return.

They just added back in on Nov 30th. Hopefully they don't start removing again...

From what I can see, best cards for Enrich Miles still between HSBC PT and UOB PME depending on your spending habits and if you will reach the monthly cap or not (for HSBC PT). Based on what I can find, UOB PME is probably "slightly" better because there's no cap on points per month, as well as the annual bonus (which is roughly equal to 6,666 EM only). For the calculation above, I'm basing on ONLY overseas spend since this calculation is more for myself and my spending patterns - Basically, if you swipe more than RM 18,181 per month equivalent in foreign currency, then UOB PME will give you best bang for buck for EM by about RM0.01 (cost per mile). I didn't factor in annual fees for the above. Any other cards should be included here?

QUOTE(gaijin @ Jan 4 2024, 09:05 AM) Anyone did comparison whether enrich points are calculated prorated if use to upgrade from Economy tickets to business , compared to saver? I dont have enough points for full redemption business class, but thinking pay for economy and then redeem upgrade TQ I can't recall 100%, but at the time when I tried this, I recall not being able to upgrade or not being able to find out how to upgrade - but this was quite some time back. The MAS system overall has a lot of issues and things are very complicated to do. Maybe you might have better luck now...

I did it during the launch promotion... 80K for Gold.
Is it worth it? I don't really think so since the main benefit (for me) from Gold is only lounge access.
Also, the EnrichMoney Points have a expiry date - so because I wasn't able to use the points in time, I lost around 50k Points value (which is equivalent to roughly RM1k++ if you use the cashback/redeem feature).
In terms of overall value, I wouldn't do it again - better (in my case) to just leave the points as Enrich Points and use them to redeem my flights. Only way I would consider is for Platinum level (and even then I would need to consider/calculate).

Please note AFAIK you can't "withdraw" to RM - you can ONLY use it to redeem points against charges AFTER the charges have been finalized (e.g. 2-3 days post charge).
This is how it worked before, but I'm not sure about now as my EnrichMoney points have expired (which I think is ridiculous since it's technically cash).

I think just Enrich Saver very few seats are available, so when you look around usually the cheapest is the next available tier which is more expensive.
In the past maybe 4-5 years, point cost for regional has gone up 2x for sure... I frequently book BKK<>KUL, and I used to get 1 way for around 14,700 points... my last booking was 27,900 points one way (BKK>KUL). KUL>BKK is slightly cheaper and you can still get for around 20,000 points one way on Saver.
Forgot to mention, this is business. Economy has also increased but I think by a lower %...
