How is this upgrade via cash over counter different from MHUpgrade offered through email where u get to set your bid to upgrade? Which way cheaper?

Last time I asked it wasn't possible. I had an EY ticket booked by AA, EY couldn't even let me choose seats much less go for upgrades.

Had a chat with AMEX. CS mentioned that all amex points are getting devalued from 15th April onwards. Those enjoying 5x points will be either 2x or 1x depending on the transaction.

mas has direct to AKL. although the schedule is abit cacat now.. last time used to be night flight arriving early morning.

They're changing the current old sloped business class with the new lie flat business class for kul-akl according to schedule. it should be done by year end.. unless the whole thing has been put on hold with muller's departure.

QA is what airline? Qantas don't have available seats from mel/syd to akl.. according to MAS, QF rarely release seats to them

Qatar Airlines don't have flights also according to google flights.

Checked redemption on Business to London for 2 adults and 1 child. Fuel surcharge + taxes + fees total to ~RM7k. Seriously?

Yes, i totally agree with you. I have about 100k of EM and don't know what to do with it. I called their call centre to inquire a return flight to BOS on OneWorld and was told that it is going to cost me 120K EM + RM2,935.80 surcharge on BA Economy Class. The phone was disconnected at his end when i wait for the EM required on business class and first class and i don't bother to call them back.

I checked AsiaMiles, a return business class ticket would cost HKD1,022 + 145k AsiaMiles only but it is on waitlist 

Can you please also do a comparison for Business return to London? Is it still worth it to redeem MH business to London? Thanks

British Airways short haul redemption is good with a lot confirmed tickets.
