Yeah, Enrich miles have become less interesting recently. Was good whilst it lasted. Way more points needed than before, no more A380 in the near future, 6% GST on conversion

I'm going to try and get a UK Avios card instead again and collect on that

This the Pasar in Banting ? GF used to always bring juices, wine etc from there and some cutlery / plates from some Saudi airlines etc. That was a couple of years ago though

I've never been, GF started bringing home some plates, cutlery, those small bottles of wine etc.

Then I noticed plates had Royal Saudi or similar printed on the back.

Shame they have a metal decoration on them, can't go in the microwave without making sparks

Anyway, will be calling Maybank tomorrow to redeem my miles, hopefully can get biz class to LHR booked in time Annoying that for what nearly a year they still haven't fixed the online redemption website

I just converted a bunch of miles recently - Return for 2 pax in Business KUL-NRT-KUL (30% off EM promo), and KUL - LHR in Business (no promo unfortunately)

Just managed to book LHR > KUL for Saturday with this promo.

Bit stupid as I already had a return flight with Emirates but would have been more expensive to upgrade with them than doing it this way

Redeemed some TPs over the weekend on the phone - miles in the account this morning, nice and quick.

Managed to upgrade 2 return flights KUL - AKL for next week, get to try the new business class in the A330

Ah well I had existing econ flights booked and couldn't have had the EMs in my account any earlier unfortunately.

Planning to book some biz return flights to Japan so hopefully decent promotion from tomorrow

The last Enrich promotion is no good compared to previous years

Email shows 30-40% off Tokyo for example, went to book Biz return during the campaign dates and comes out at the same amount of miles (110k) per pax as previous (D class)

Clicked through the email to check, looks like only Smart/Flexi are discounted, which even after 40% requires more than 110k miles

FWIW I converted all my TPs to EM today, 10% bonus still counts as today is the last day. Did the same for Citi also

The 10% bonus apparently gets adjusted by MAS approximately 2 weeks later

Unfortunately way short of getting Gold status though.

I think he wants to earn enrich points for his parents’ tickets, not redeem. Which I think isn’t possible as points are earned during flying, in which case they can get their own Enrich number and earn
